The 2015–16 Connecticut Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Huskies were led by fourth-year head coach Kevin Ollie. The Huskies split their home games between the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion on the UConn campus in Storrs, Connecticut. The Huskies were members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 25–11, 11–7 in American Athletic play to finish in sixth place. They defeated Cincinnati, Temple, and Memphis to be champions of the American Athletic Tournament. They received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament where they defeated Colorado in the Round of 64 before losing to Kansas in the Round of 32.
The University of Connecticut (UConn) is a public land grant, National Sea Grant and National Space Grant research university in Storrs, Connecticut, United States. It was founded in 1881.
The 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season began on November 13. The first tournament was the 2K Sports Classic and ended with the Final Four in Houston April 2–4. Practices officially began on October 2.
Kevin Jermaine Ollie is a former American basketball coach and former player. He is the former head coach of the University of Connecticut men's basketball team. Ollie graduated from Connecticut in 1995 with a degree in Communications. He played for twelve National Basketball Association franchises, most prominently in three stints with the Philadelphia 76ers, in thirteen seasons from 1997 to 2010 after beginning his career with the CBA in 1995.
The Huskies finished the season 20–15, 10–8 in AAC play to finish in a tie for fifth place. They advanced to the championship game of the American Athletic Tournament where they lost to SMU. They were invited to the National Invitation Tournament where they lost in the first round to Arizona State.
The 2015 American Athletic Conference Men's Basketball Tournament was played from March 12–15, 2015 at the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut.
The 2015 National Invitation Tournament was a single-elimination tournament of 32 NCAA Division I teams that were not selected to participate in the 2015 NCAA Tournament. The annual tournament is being played on campus sites for the first three rounds, with the Final Four and Championship game being held at Madison Square Garden in New York City. The tournament began on Tuesday, March 17 and ended on Thursday, April 2. On February 6, the NCAA announced the 2015 NIT will use a 30-second shot clock and a 4-foot restricted-area arc as experimental rules for the 2015 tournament. On March 4, the NCAA announced teams that are marked as the first four teams left out of the 2015 NCAA tournament field will be the top-seeded teams in the 2015 NIT.
The 2014–15 Arizona State Sun Devils men's basketball team represented Arizona State University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Sun Devils were led by ninth-year head coach Herb Sendek and played their home games at the Wells Fargo Arena in Tempe, Arizona. They were members of the Pac-12 Conference. They finished the regular season 17–14, 9–9 in Pac-12 play to finish in a tie for fifth place. The Sun Devils lost in the first round of the Pac-12 Tournament to USC. ASU was invited to the National Invitation Tournament where they won at Connecticut in the first round, before losing in the second round at Richmond.

The 2013–14 Connecticut Huskies men's basketball team represented the University of Connecticut in the 2013–2014 NCAA Division I basketball season. The Huskies were led by second-year head coach Kevin Ollie. The Huskies split their home games between the XL Center in Hartford, Connecticut, and the Harry A. Gampel Pavilion on the UConn campus in Storrs, Connecticut. The Huskies were members of the American Athletic Conference. One year after being banned from postseason play for sanctions, the Huskies returned to the Final Four, where they defeated the Florida Gators in the national semifinal round and the Kentucky Wildcats in the 2014 National Championship Game. Shabazz Napier was named the tournament's MOP.

The Golden Hurricane, led by first year head coach Frank Haith, played their home games at the Reynolds Center and were members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season 23–11, 14–4 in American Athletic play to finish in second place. They advanced to the semifinals of the American Athletic Tournament where they lost to Connecticut. They were invited to the National Invitation Tournament where they defeated William & Mary in the first round before losing in the second round to Murray State.

They finished the season 23–12, 12–6 in CAA play to finish in a four way tie for the CAA regular season championship. They defeated Delaware, UNC Wilmington, and William & Mary to become champions of the CAA Tournament. They received an automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament, their first NCAA bid since 1991, where they lost in the second round to Notre Dame.
The 2015–16 Cincinnati Bearcats men's basketball team represented the University of Cincinnati during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Bearcats, were led by tenth year head coach Mick Cronin, who returned full-time after taking a hiatus in December 2014. The Bearcats played their home games on Ed Jucker Court at Fifth Third Arena and were members of the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season with a record of 22–11, 12–6 in AAC play to finish in a tie for third place in conference. The Bearcats lost in the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament to Connecticut for the second consecutive year. They received an at-large bid as a #9 seed to the NCAA Tournament. They lost in the First Round of the Tournament to Saint Joseph's.

The Owls, led by tenth year head coach Fran Dunphy, played their home games at the Liacouras Center and were members the American Athletic Conference. They finished the season with a record 21–12, 14–4 in AAC play to win the regular season championship. They defeated South Florida in the quarterfinals of the AAC Tournament to advance to the semifinals where they lost to Connecticut. They received an at-large bid as a #10 seed to the NCAA Tournament where they lost in the first round to Iowa.
The 2015–16 South Florida Bulls women's basketball team represented the University of South Florida in the 2015–16 NCAA Division I basketball season. The Bulls, coached by Jose Fernandez in his fifteenth season, played their home games at the USF Sun Dome in Tampa, Florida. This was USF's third season as a member of the American Athletic Conference, known as The American or AAC. They finished the season 24–10, 14–4 in AAC play to finish in second place. They advanced to the championship game of the American Athletic Conference Women's Tournament for the second year in a row, where they lost to Connecticut again. They received at-large bid to the NCAA Women's Tournament, where they defeated Colorado State in the first round before losing to UCLA in the second round.
