The 2015 African Women's Junior Handball Championship was the 22nd edition of the African Women's Junior Handball Championship. The event, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the supervision of the International Handball Federation, took place at the Kasarani Indoor Arena in Nairobi, Kenya, from July 11 to 18 2015. Six teams participated on the tournament. Angola, successfully defended its title after tying the last game with Tunisia. While both teams finished with 11 points, Angola had an edge in the goal difference.

The event, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the supervision of the International Handball Federation, took place in the Republic of the Congo, in one host city, Oyo, from August 24 to 30. Seven teams participated on the tournament. Angola, the defending champion, retained its title, by beating Tunisia 29-18 in the final.

The 2013 African Women's Junior Handball Championship was the 20th edition of the African Women's Junior Handball Championship. The event, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the supervision of the International Handball Federation, took place in the Republic of the Congo, in one host city, Oyo, from September 1 to 8. Seven teams participated on the tournament. Angola, dethroned defending champion Congo thus securing its 7th title.

The Angola women's national handball team Under-17 represents Angola in international handball competitions and is controlled by the Federação Angolana de Andebol. At continental level, it competes at the African Women's Youth Handball Championship which qualifies for the IHF Women's Youth World Championship. Angola has been a member of the IHF since 1979.

The 2009 African Women's Youth Handball Championship was the 2nd edition of the tournament, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation and held in Abidjan, Ivory Coast from September 26 to 30, 2009.

The 2014 African Men's Youth Handball Championship was the 6th edition of the tournament, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation and held in Nairobi, Kenya from 15 to 21 March 2014.

The 2014 African Women's Handball Champions League was the 36th edition, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation, the handball sport governing body. The tournament was held from October 9–18, 2014 in four venues: Salle Beni Khiar, Salle Hammamet, Salle Nabeul and Salle Zouaoui, in Tunis, Tunisia, contested by 10 teams and won by Clube Desportivo Primeiro de Agosto of Angola.

2015 Mens Junior World Handball Championship

The 2015 IHF Men's Junior World Championship was the 20th edition of the tournament and held at Brazil from 19 July to 1 August 2015. The decision to select Brazil as the host was announced 1 August 2014. France won their first title by defeating Denmark 26–24 in the final.

2016 African Womens Handball Championship

The 2016 African Women's Handball Championship was the 22nd edition of the African Women's Handball Championship, held in Luanda, Angola from 28 November to 7 December 2016. It acted as the African qualifying tournament for the 2017 World Women's Handball Championship.

The 2015 African Women's Youth Handball Championship was the 4th edition of the tournament, organized by the African Handball Confederation, under the auspices of the International Handball Federation and held in Nairobi, Kenya from July 2 to 9, 2015.

The 2015 edition of the Women's Handball Tournament of the African Games was the 9th, organized by the African Handball Confederation and played under the auspices of the International Handball Federation, the handball sport governing body. The tournament was held from 10 to 19 September 2015 at the Palais des Sports Kintélé in Brazzaville, Republic of Congo, contested by 11 national teams and won by Angola.

The 2017 African Women's Junior Handball Championship was the 24th edition of the championship organised by the Ivory Coast Handball Federation under the auspices of the African Handball Confederation. It was held in Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan from 4 to 10 September 2017. It was played in under-19 years category. It was the fifth time that Ivory Coast staged the competition. It also acts as qualification tournament for the IHF Women's Junior World Handball Championship. Top three teams i.e. Angola, Egypt and the hosts Ivory Coast qualified for the 2018 Women's Junior World Handball Championship to be held in Hungary.

The 2017 African Women's Youth Handball Championship was the 13th edition of the championship organised by the Ivory Coast Handball Federation under the auspices of the African Handball Confederation. It was held in Palais des Sports de Treichville, Abidjan from 11 to 17 September 2017. It was played in under-17 years category. It was the third time that Ivory Coast staged the competition. It also acts as qualification tournament for the IHF Women's Youth World Handball Championship. Top three teams i.e. Egypt, Tunisia and Angola qualifies for the 2018 Women's Youth World Handball Championship to be held in Poland.
