It was his record-equaling fifth Indian Wells title, 25th ATP Tour Masters 1000 singles title, and 90th singles title overall. He did not lose a single set in the entire tournament.

Roger Federer defeated Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–3, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2017 Miami Open. It was Federer's third Miami Open title, and he claimed his third Sunshine Double with the win. Federer saved two match points en route to the title, in the quarterfinals against Tomáš Berdych. It was Nadal's fifth runner-up finish without winning the title.

Defending champion Rafael Nadal defeated Albert Ramos Viñolas in the final, 6–1, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2017 Monte-Carlo Masters. It was his record-extending 10th Monte Carlo Masters title, becoming the first man in the Open Era to win 10 singles titles at the same tournament. Nadal saved two match points en route to the title, in his third round match against Denis Shapovalov. This was also the fourth time that Nadal had won a tournament on 10 or more occasions, making him the only tennis player with the feat.

Daniil Medvedev defeated Sam Querrey in the final, 6–4, 6–2, to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 Mallorca Championships. It was Medvedev's first career grass court final and singles title on the ATP Tour, and he dropped just one set en route to the victory. Querrey was contesting for his first title in four years.

Hubert Hurkacz defeated Daniil Medvedev in the final, 6–1, 6–4 to win the singles tennis title at the 2022 Halle Open.

Lorenzo Musetti defeated Carlos Alcaraz in the final, 6–4, 6–7(6–8), 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2022 Hamburg European Open. It was his maiden ATP Tour title, and he saved two match points en route, in his first round match against Dušan Lajović.
