Career

Cornea made his Grand Slam debut at the 2023 French Open with Zhang Zhizhen and at the 2023 US Open with Nikola Cacic.

He played the semifinals at the ATP 500 2023 Hamburg European Open and qualified at the ATP 500 2023 Swiss Indoors as a lucky loser pair with Cacic and reached the quarterfinals by defeating Swiss duo Mika Brunold and Marc-Andrea Hüsler in straight sets.

Santiago González and Édouard Roger-Vasselin defeated Hugo Nys and Jan Zieliński in the final, 6–7(8–10), 7–6(7–3), [10–1] to win the doubles tennis title at the 2023 Swiss Indoors.
