The 2002–03 Santosh Trophy was the 58th Santosh Trophy. It was held from 17 October up to 5 November 2002 in Imphal, Manipur.
The 61st Santosh Trophy 2006 was held from 14 September to 25 October 2006 in Gurgaon & Faridabad, Haryana.

The first winners were Bengal, who also lead the all-time winners list with 31 titles till date. The 58th Santosh Trophy was held in Mumbai, Maharashtra. Thirty-two teams from all over the country, representing numerous states intended to take part in the national state championships but six teams pulled out. At the final Kerala won 3–2, on a Golden Goal scored by Abdul Hakkim during extra time against Goa.
The 65th National Football Championship for Santosh Trophy 2010-11 was held in Assam, India, 6–30 May 2011. 31 teams were divided into eight clusters with last year's semi-finalists directly finding their place in the Groups Quarterfinal round.

Handball Federation of India, Rohtak (HFI) is the governing body for handball in India. HFI is registered under the Societies Registration Act, 1860 at Rohtak. HFI is a member of the Asian Handball Federation (AHF) and the International Handball Federation (IHF) since 1974. It is also a member of Commonwealth Handball Association and South Asian Handball Federation. HFI was founded by Jagat Singh Lohan, a Jat from Rohtak (Haryana) who was an alumnus of YMCA College of Physical Education of Madras. He was also the first secretary general of HFI.

The 2015–16 Senior Women's Football Championship was the 21st edition of Senior Women's National Football Championship, the women's state competition in Indian football. The tournament qualification round was stated on December 12, 2015 and culminated on December 27, 2015 across five zones – North Zone, South Zone, East Zone, West Zone and North East Zone – throughout the Nation.
