The 2016 FIBA U20 Women's European Championship Division B was the 12th edition of the Division B of the Women's European basketball championship for national under-20 teams. It was held in Podgorica, Montenegro, from the 9th to the 17th of July 2016. [1] [2] Slovenia women's national under-20 basketball team won the tournament.
In the first round, the teams were drawn into four groups. The first two teams from each group advance to the quarterfinal round, the other teams will play in the classification round for 9th to 13th place.

The 2012 FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship was the 15th edition of the FIBA Europe Under-20 Championship. 16 teams featured in the competition, held in Slovenia from 12 to 22 July 2012. Lithuania won the title for the second time.
The 2015 FIBA Europe Under-18 Championship for Women was the 32nd edition of the European Under-18 Women's Basketball Championship. 16 teams participated in the competition, held in Celje, Slovenia, from 30 July to 9 August 2015.

The tournament was played in Chalkida, Greece, from 15 to 24 July 2016. Montenegro won gold by beating Iceland in the final, 78–76. Montenegro, Iceland, and Greece won promotion to Division A.
