The 2017 Dutch Basketball Supercup was the 7th edition of the Dutch Basketball Supercup. The game was played in the MartiniPlaza in Groningen.

The Dutch Basketball Supercup is the super cup competition of professional basketball in the Netherlands. The match is played by the champions of the Dutch Basketball League and the winner of the NBB Cup. It is a super cup competition. The first Supercup game was held in 2011.

MartiniPlaza

MartiniPlaza is an indoor arena located in Groningen, Netherlands. It is used as an exhibition complex, theater and sports arena. The arena is the home of the basketball team Donar and has a capacity of 4,500 people.

Landstede Basketbal

Landstede Basketbal, also known as Landstede Zwolle, is a Dutch basketball organisation from Zwolle. The club currently plays in the Dutch Basketball League (DBL), the Dutch top tier division. The club was founded as Cees Lubbers The Hammers in 1995. In 1999, the club’s name was changed into Landstede Hammers. In 2001, the club received its current name Landstede Basketbal. The home games of the club are played in the Landstede Sportcentrum.

2016–17 NBB Cup

The 2016–17 NBB Cup was the 49th edition of the Netherlands' national basketball cup tournament. Donar won its fifth national cup title.
