The 2017 ABA League Supercup was the inaugural tournament of the ABA League Supercup, featuring teams from the Adriatic League First Division. The tournament took place in Bar, Montenegro. [1]
Based on the results in the 2016–17 ABA League season there was 8 participants at the 2017 Supercup. [2]
Crvena zvezda canceled their participation at the Supercup, due to their previously scheduled Euroleague tournament, which will be held in the same period. The 9th placed team, the FMP, is invited for replacement.

The ABA League, renamed to the ABA League First Division in 2017, is the 1st-tier regional men's professional basketball league that originally featured clubs from the former Yugoslavia. Due to sponsorship reasons, the league was also known as the Goodyear League from 2001 to 2006, and as the NLB League from 2006 to 2011.
Košarkaški klub Crvena zvezda, commonly referred to as KK Crvena zvezda mts for sponsorship reasons or simply Crvena zvezda, is a men's professional basketball club based in Belgrade, Serbia, the major part of the Red Star multi-sports club. The club is a founding member and shareholder of the Adriatic Basketball Association, and competes in the Serbian League (KLS), the ABA League, and the top-tier Europe-wide EuroLeague. Crvena zvezda mts use Aleksandar Nikolić Hall for most of their home games.
