The 2017 FIA European Truck Racing Championship was a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It was the 33rd year of the championship. Adam Lacko won the championship with Freightliner. [1] [2]

Moscow Raceway is an FIA-approved motor racing venue, which is situated in the Volokolamsky District of Moscow Oblast, near the villages of Sheludkovo and Fedyukovo, 97 km (60 mi) from Moscow, Russia. It opened on 13 July 2012 for its first event as the fifth round of the World Series by Renault becoming the first major international motor-sport race track event in Russia. It is an FIA Grade 1 circuit, which means that it has all the requirements necessary to host a Formula One race, though the Sochi Autodrom formerly hosted Russian Formula One races during the existence of the Russian Grand Prix as a World Championship event.

The FIA Formula 3 Championship is a third-tier international single-seater racing championship and organised by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship launched in 2019 as a feeder series for the FIA Formula 1 World Championship and FIA Formula 2 Championships. It was the result of a merger between two third-tier single-seater racing championships, the GP3 Series and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship as it was announced on 10 March 2018. The 2019 FIA Formula 3 Championship was the inaugural season of the FIA Formula 3 Championship, a multi-event motor racing championship for single-seat open-wheel formula racing cars. The championship featured drivers competing in 3.4-litre Formula 3 racing cars which conform to the technical regulations, or formula, of the championship. It ran in support of the Formula 1 World Championship and its sister series, the FIA Formula 2 Championship. It serves as the third tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. The championship was formed by the merger of the GP3 Series and the FIA Formula 3 European Championship in 2018, which brought the two championships under the umbrella of the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The 2020 European Truck Racing Championship was a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It is the 36th year of the championship. An eight-round season was originally slated to begin April 25 at the Hungaroring and end October 4 at the Circuito del Jarama. However, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule was delayed, shortened, and rearranged, with a two-round season starting August 29 at Autodrom Most and ending October 18 at the Hungaroring.

The 2021 European Truck Racing Championship was a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It was the 37th year of the championship. A seven round calendar was announced on November 17, 2020, which was slated to begin May 22, 2021 at the Misano World Circuit in Italy and conclude with October 3 at the Circuito del Jarama in Spain. However, due to continued restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the round at Misano was postponed to the end of the season, moving the round at the Hungaroring in Hungary on June 12 as the first race of the season.

An eight-round season was announced on 21 December 2021, with the season beginning on 21 May at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and ended on 2 October at the Circuito del Jarama.
