The 2018 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held from May 22 through May 27 at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, North Carolina. The annual tournament determines the conference champion of the Division I Atlantic Coast Conference for college baseball. The tournament champion receives the league's automatic bid to the 2018 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. This was the last of 19 athletic championship events held by the conference in the 2017–18 academic year. [2]

The tournament has been held every year but one since 1973, with Clemson winning ten championships, the most all-time. Georgia Tech has won nine championships, and Florida State has won seven titles since their entry to the league in 1992. Charter league member Duke, along with recent entrants Virginia Tech, Boston College, Pittsburgh and Notre Dame have never won the event. Louisville plays their third season in the ACC in 2017, and has also yet to win a title.

Florida State defeated Louisville in the championship game to win the tournament for the eighth time overall, and the third time in four seasons.

Format and seeding

The winner of each seven team division and the top ten other teams based on conference winning percentage, regardless of division, from the conference's regular season will be seeded one through twelve. Seeds one and two are awarded to the two division winners. Teams are then divided into four pools of three teams each, with the winners advancing to single elimination bracket for the championship. The Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC) is a collegiate athletic conference located in the eastern United States. The 2008 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held at the Baseball Grounds of Jacksonville in Jacksonville, Florida from May 21 through May 25. The #1 seeded University of Miami won the tournament with a perfect 4-0 record, earning the Atlantic Coast Conference's automatic bid to the 2008 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Miami's first conference championship in baseball after having played as an independent until joining the ACC during the 2004-05 academic year.

2009 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament

The 2009 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held at Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC from May 20 through May 24. It was the first time the tournament has been played at the ballpark since 1999 and fourth time overall since the ballpark opened in 1995. The #6 seeded Virginia Cavaliers won the tournament with a perfect 4–0 record, earning the Atlantic Coast Conference's automatic bid to the 2009 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Virginia's first conference championship in baseball since 1996, and their second tournament championship ever.

2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament

The 2011 Atlantic Coast Conference Baseball Tournament was held at the Durham Bulls Athletic Park in Durham, NC from May 25 through May 29. All of the games were shown live on Fox Sports South with select games being shown on Fox Sports Florida, Comcast Mid-Atlantic, Sun Sports, and New England Sports Network. Top seeded Virginia won the tournament and earned the Atlantic Coast Conference's automatic bid to the 2011 NCAA Division I Baseball Tournament. It was Virginia's third ACC tournament win and second in three years.

2015 Virginia Cavaliers baseball team

The 2015 Virginia Cavaliers baseball team represented the University of Virginia during the 2015 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Cavaliers played their home games at Davenport Field as a member of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by head coach Brian O'Connor, in his 12th season at Virginia.
