The 2015 World Judo Championships were held in Astana, Kazakhstan, from 24–30 August 2015. The competition was held at the Alau Ice Palace.
Guram Tushishvili is a Georgian judoka. He won a gold medal at the 2018 World Judo Championships in men's +100 kg event. Tushishvili also won a gold medal in 2017 European Judo Championships in men's +100 kg event. On 29 March 2019 International Judo Federation disqualified before 29 May 2019. In 2020, he won one of the bronze medals in the men's +100 kg event at the 2020 European Judo Championships held in Prague, Czech Republic.
Tal Flicker is an Israeli judoka. He competes in the under 66 kg weight category, and won bronze medals in the 2017 World Judo Championships and the 2018 European Judo Championships as well as a silver medal in the 2020 European Judo Championships. Flicker won the 2017 Baku Grand Slam, 2017 Cancún Grand Prix and Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. In August 2017 he was ranked # 1 in the world in the U66 kg division.
Baruch Shmailov is an Israeli judoka. He competes in the under 66 kg weight category, and won a gold medal in the 2022 World Masters in Jerusalem. Shmailov also won a bronze in the 2017 World Masters, as well as a silver at the 2018 World Masters. As of December 2022, Shmailov is ranked #3 in -66 kg weight category. He competed for Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics, finishing in fifth place.
Tohar Butbul is an Israeli judoka. He competes in the under 73 kg weight category, where he won silver medals at the 2019 Judo World Masters and the 2021 European Championships, and won bronze medals in the 2017 Paris Grand Slam and 2017 Abu Dhabi Grand Slam. As of March 2018 he was ranked #9 in the world in the U73 kg division. Butbul was a member of the Israeli team that won a bronze medal at the Tokyo Olympics.
Li Kochman is an Israeli judoka. He competes in the under 90 kg weight category, and won a silver medal in the 2019 European Judo Championships.
Tato Grigalashvili is a Georgian judoka. He is a four-time medalist, including three gold medals, in the men's 81 kg event at the World Judo Championships. He is also a three-time gold medalist in his event at the European Judo Championships.
Manuel Lombardo is an Italian judoka. He is a two-time silver medalist at the World Judo Championships. He is also a gold medalist at both the Mediterranean Games and the European Judo Championships.
