Nathon Burns (born 22 June 1989) is an Irish judoka. [1] [2] [3] Burns is based at Camberley Judo Club in Surrey;[ citation needed ] he was previously at Yamakwai in Belfast. [4] [ citation needed ] A third dan black belt, he describes seoi nage as his favourite technique. [5]

Burns represented Ireland at the 2019 European Games, reaching the last eight in the 66 kg event. [6] He won a bronze medal at the 2022 Commonwealth Games, competing for Northern Ireland in the 66 kg category. [7] [8]

He competed for Israel at the 2020 Summer Olympics, finishing in fifth place.

Paltchik won the gold medal at the 2020 European Judo Championships in Prague on November 21, 2020, beating Russian judoka Arman Adamian in the final, Adding to his bronze medal from the 2018 European Judo Championships in Tel Aviv. Paltchik also won a bronze medal in the mixed team judo competition in the 2021 Olympics.
