Eric Born (born 31 August 1970) is a Swiss businessman and former judoka. He competed in the men's half-lightweight event at the 1992 Summer Olympics. [1] He was also a European Judo Champion (1991). [2]
Eric Born took up judo from a young age and won a gold medal at the 1991 European Judo Championships, which allowed him to compete at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona. But he was defeated in the first round. After Born's failure at the Olympics, he returned to judo and won a silver medal at the 1993 World Judo Championships. [2] Following this Eric Born entered the business world [3] and worked for several companies, notably becoming the CEO of Wincanton plc from 2010 to 2015, and then President and CEO of Swissport from August 2015 until the end of 2020. After an almost 2 year Sabbatical, he started as CEO of Grafton Group plc in November 2022. [4] He has a master's in business administration (MBA) from the University of Rochester. [5] He still remains active in judo. [6]
Vsevolods Zeļonijs is a Latvian judoka, who competed in the 1992 and 2000 Summer Olympics, winning bronze medal in 2000 in the lightweight (–73 kg) category.
Kate Louise Howey is a former elite British judoka. She remains the only British woman to have won two Olympic judo medals and shares with fellow Olympic medalist Karina Bryant the record of being the only British judoka to have competed at four Olympic Games.
Yael Arad is an Israeli judoka. She was the first Israeli to win an Olympic medal at the 1992 Summer Olympics in Barcelona in 1992. She is widely recognized as one of Israel's most successful athletes and is credited with bringing judo into the athletic mainstream.

Anamari "Ana" Velenšek is a Slovenian judoka. She won several medals at the world and European championships in 2011–15 and competed at the 2012 and 2016 Olympics, winning a bronze medal in 2016. He placed 5th at the 2015 World Judo Championships in Astana, Kazakhstan after losing in the bronze medal final against one of his colleagues Varlam Liparteliani. He competed at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, in the men's -100 kg category where he placed 7th. He took bronze at the 2017 European Judo Championships U90kg.
Toma Nikiforov is a Belgian judoka who competes in the under 100 kg category. In 2015, he won bronze medals at the world championships and European Games. He placed second at the 2016 European championships, but was eliminated in the second bout at the Rio Olympics. He won the gold medal at the 2018 and 2021 European Championships.
Ushangi Kokauri is an Azerbaijani judoka of Georgian origin, acting in the weight category over 100 kg, member of the national team of Azerbaijan in judo. Ushangi represented Azerbaijan at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, where he competed in the men's +100 kg event, in which he was eliminated in the second round by Hisayoshi Harasawa.He also take part at 2020 Tokyo Olympic Games.
