Tour of Iran (Azerbaijan) 2018 was a UCI Asia Tour 2.1 event and the 33rd edition of Tour of Iran (Azerbaijan) which took place in six stages between September 29-October 4, 2018 in Iranian Azerbaijan. [1] The race started in the city of Tabriz and traveled through Urmia, Jolfa, and Sarein.

Aras Free Trade - Industrial Zone is located in the Northwest of Iran at the border point with neighboring Armenia, Azerbaijan and the Nakhchivan Autonomous Republic. According to the Decree No. 20708/T/530820, dated 28 June 2005 by the Board of Ministers, the area of the Aras Free Zone included 9,700 hectares of the lands of the region. This area was expanded on 4 December 2008 to 51,000 hectares based on the new decree of this Board, including some parts of the Jolfa and Kaleybar towns. This approved area in the attached part has increased the main district from 9,700 hectares to 20,500 hectares, and in three detached parts makes up totally 51,000 hectares of entire Aras Free Zone including a part of the Kaleibar city with the area of 24,000 hectares and the vicinity of Khodafarin Dam with the area of 6,100 hectares as well as the district of Norduz Customs with the area of 240 hectares.

Tabriz Petrochemical CCN Team UCI team code:TPT was an Iranian UCI Continental cycling team managed by Ramin Dadgar and Azim Abdolnezhad and main sponsored by Tabriz Petrochemical Company. The Tabriz Petrochemical Team has achieved first place in both the riders' and teams' overall classifications in the UCI Asia Tour in 2007–2008, 2008–2009 and 2009–2010

The 2015 Tour de Taiwan was the thirteenth edition of the Tour de Taiwan cycling stage race. Tour of Iran (Azerbaijan) 2019 is a UCI 2.1 Asian Tour and the 34th edition of Tour of Iran (Azerbaijan). It was held in five stages in October 2019 in Iranian Azerbaijan. The race started in the city of Tabriz and went through Urmia, Jolfa, and Sarein ending at the Sahand Ski Resort.
