"Le Mali" is the national anthem of Mali. Adopted in 1962, it was written by Seydou Badian Kouyaté, while the music is attributed to Banzumana Sissoko. It is popularly known as "Pour l'Afrique et pour toi, Mali" or "À ton appel Mali".
Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, often known by his initials IBK, was a Malian politician who served as the president of Mali from September 2013 to August 2020, when he was forced to resign in the 2020 Malian coup d'état. He served as Mali's prime minister from February 1994 to February 2000 and as president of the National Assembly of Mali from September 2002 to September 2007.

Choguel Kokalla Maïga is a Malian politician and President of the Patriotic Movement for Renewal, a political party in Mali, and current Prime Minister of the Transition. He served in the government as Minister of Industry and Trade from 2002 to 2007 and later as Minister of the Digital Economy, Information and Communication from 2015 to 2016. On 4 June 2021, he was named Prime Minister of the Transition by coup leader and newly appointed President of Transition Assimi Goïta.

Soumeylou Boubèye Maïga was a Malian politician who was the Prime Minister of Mali between 30 December 2017 and 18 April 2019. The leader of the Alliance for Solidarity in Mali, he had previously served in the government of Mali as Minister of Foreign Affairs under President Amadou Toumani Touré from 5 April 2011 until the March 2012 coup d'état. Later he was Minister of Defense from 2013 to 2014 and was Secretary-General of the Presidency from 2016 to 2017.
Mahamadou Djeri Maïga was a Malian politician. He was the Vice-President of the Transitional Council of the State of Azawad, established by the National Movement for the Liberation of Azawad (MNLA). Abdoulaye Idrissa Maïga is a Malian politician who was the Prime Minister of Mali from 8 April 2017 to 29 December 2017. Previously he was Minister of Defence since 3 September 2016. As Defence Minister he succeeded Tiéman Hubert Coulibaly, who resigned after the takeover of the village of Boni by jihadist forces. Maïga previously served as Minister of Territorial Administration and Minister for the Environment, Water and Sanitation. During the 2013 presidential election, he was campaign director of Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, who was elected as president.
Ogobara Doumbo was a Malian medical researcher at the University of Mali. He was recognised as a global leader in malaria research. He was the recipient of the Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mali, Legion d'honneur and research award on Malaria in Africa.

Oumou Armand Diarra is the pseudonym of Malian writer Oumou Modibo Sangare. She is the author of several articles about the struggle of women in Africa and Mali. She advocates social development while being consistent with the positive rules of the traditional and modern society of her country.
