Gunma 1st Districtis a single-member constituency of the Japanese House of Representatives, the lower house of the National Diet. It is located in Gunma Prefecture and consists of the cities of Maebashi and Numata and the district of Tone as well as parts of the cities of Kiryū, Shibukawa and Midori. As of 2012, 387,120 eligible voters were registered in the district.

Yōichi Masuzoe was declared the winner in exit polling, with a substantial lead over the fifteen other candidates. His final tally was 2,112,979 votes (42.86%), with his two closest competitors Morihiro Hosokawa and Kenji Utsunomiya failing to break the 20% mark. Total turnout was 4,930,251 (46.14%), significantly lower than the 62.6% turnout in the 2012 election.

In 2021 the district had 337,660 eligible voters.

In the first election in 1947, Ehime like all districts used single non-transferable vote to elect both its Councillors in one election. It has 1,169,427 registered voters as of September 2015. As a predominantly rural district, it has favoured the Liberal Democratic Party (LDP) candidate in most elections.

A by-election was held on 31 July 2016 to fill vacancies in four districts of the Tokyo Metropolitan Assembly. The elections were held simultaneously with the gubernatorial election. Nominations for the election were announced on 22 July 2016. Liberal Democratic Party candidates won all four elections.

It is located in Okinawa Prefecture and encompasses the cities of Nago, Okinawa, Uruma, Kunigami District and parts of Shimajiri District. As of 2016, 312,171 eligible voters were registered in the district.

Incumbent Governor Harumi Takahashi decided to not seek a fifth term as governor of Hokkaido. The election resulted in a landslide victory for former member of the House of Representatives Naomichi Suzuki. He received 62% of the popular vote, while Ishikawa won 37%.
