The 2019 Netball Quad Series was the sixth Netball Quad Series of test matches, contested by four of the five highest ranked nations in netball. The series was held in England in January 2019, several months before the 2019 Netball World Cup. [1]

Contents

Despite losing to England in the last match of the series, Australia successfully defended their title, eclipsing the English side on goal difference. [2]

Kimberley Ravaillion, is an Australia netball international. Ravaillion was a member of the Australia teams that won the gold medals at the 2014 Commonwealth Games and the 2015 Netball World Cup and the silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. In January 2013, aged 19, she made her senior debut for Australia during an away series against England. This saw Ravaillion make her senior test debut before making her top-level league debut. Her first game for Queensland Firebirds came two months later. She was subsequently a member of the Firebirds teams that won the 2015 and 2016 ANZ Championships. Between 2017 and 2019 she played for Collingwood Magpies in Suncorp Super Netball. After missing the 2020 season due to pregnancy, Ravaillion rejoined Queensland Firebirds for the 2021 season.

The 2017 Netball Quad Series was the second Netball Quad Series of test matches, contested by four of the five highest ranked nations in netball. Australia were the winners of the series.

The 2017 Netball Quad Series was the third Netball Quad Series of test matches, contested by four of the five highest ranked nations in netball. Australia were the defending series champion, having won the series held earlier in the year.

Kelly Jury is a New Zealand netball international. She represented New Zealand at the 2018 and 2022 Commonwealth Games. During the ANZ Championship era Jury played for Waikato Bay of Plenty Magic. Since 2020, she has played for Central Pulse in the ANZ Premiership. Jury was a prominent member of the Pulse teams that won the 2020 and 2022 ANZ Premierships. Natalie Metcalf is an English netball player. She was part of the England squad that won gold at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. She was appointed captain of the England team in 2022 and led them to their first Netball World Cup final a year later, where they finished runner up to Australia.

Gabrielle Simpson, also known as Gabi Simpson, is an Australia netball international. Simpson was vice-captain of the Australia team that won the silver medal at the 2018 Commonwealth Games. Simpson was also a member of the Queensland Firebirds teams that won the 2015 and 2016 ANZ Championships. Since 2017, Simpson has captained Firebirds in Suncorp Super Netball. In 2017 she received the Liz Ellis Diamond award. She also sits on the board of the Australian Netball Players’ Association.

The 2018 Netball Quad Series was the fifth Netball Quad Series of test matches, contested by four of the five highest ranked nations in netball. Australia won the series, winning all three of their matches to claim their fourth Quad Series title.

Francesca Williams is an English netballer who currently plays for West Coast Fever. She previously played for Wasps Netball Surrey Storm and Loughborough Lightning. She has been the captain of the England under-21 team, and made her debut for the England national team in November 2018 against Uganda. Williams made an instant impression in the national side and was later selected in England's 12-woman squad for the January 2019 Quad Series and the 2019 Netball World Cup.

Grace Nweke is a New Zealand netball international. She first competed for New Zealand in September 2021, becoming the first black woman to do so.

The 2022 Netball Quad Series was the seventh Netball Quad Series of test matches, contested by four of the five highest ranked nations in netball. The series was played in England during January 2022, several months before the 2022 Commonwealth Games.
