The 2019 Norwegian Second Division was a third-tier Norwegian women's football league season. The league consisted of 68 teams divided into 7 groups. KIL/Hemne were promoted. Reserve teams were not eligible for promotion.

KIL/Hemne is a football club from Kyrksæterøra in Hemne, Sør-Trøndelag. Top-level players Erik Hoftun, Ardian Gashi, Alex Valencia, Vegard Forren, Pål André Helland and Magnus Stamnestrø began their careers here.

Magnus Stamnestrø is a former Norwegian footballer. He has represented his country at under-19 and under-21 level.

The 2001 1. divisjon, Norway's second-tier football league, began on 21 April 2001 and ended on 28 October 2001. The league was contested by 16 teams, and the top two teams won promotion to Tippeligaen, while the third place team played a promotion-playoff against the 12th-placed team in Tippeligaen to win promotion. The bottom four teams were relegated to the 2. divisjon.

The 2007 season was Molde's 1st season back in the Adeccoligaen after relegation from the Tippeligaen in 2006. They finished in 1st position in the league and in the Norwegian Cup they were knocked out in the first round by KIL/Hemne.

The Norwegian Second Division is the third highest level of women's football in Norway. In the 2021 season, it consisted of 70 teams divided into eight groups. Two teams are promoted to the Norwegian First Division each season. The worst ranked teams are relegated to the Norwegian Third Division. AaFK Fortuna and Grand Bodø are the current champions.
