The 2015 season is Rosenborg's 25th consecutive year in Tippeligaen, their 48th season in the top flight of Norwegian football and first season with Kåre Ingebrigtsen as permanent manager. They will participate in Tippeligaen, the Cup and the 2015–16 UEFA Europa League, entering at the First qualifying round stage.

The 2018 season is Sandefjord's second season in a row in the Eliteserien following their promotion in 2016.

This will be Eirik Horneland's first season as Rosenborg manager after being appointed on January 3.

Bodø/Glimt finished the season in second position, qualifying for the first qualifying round of the UEFA Europa League. In the Norwegian Cup, they were knocked out by Strømmen in the second round.
