Naomi Osaka defeated Petra Kvitová in the final, 7–6(7–2), 5–7, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 Australian Open. With the win, Osaka became the world No. 1 and became the first player since Jennifer Capriati to win their first two major titles at consecutive events. Ten players were in contention for the world No. 1 ranking. In addition to Kvitová, Osaka, and reigning world No. 1 Simona Halep, Sloane Stephens, Karolína Plíšková, Angelique Kerber, Elina Svitolina, Kiki Bertens, Aryna Sabalenka and Daria Kasatkina were also in contention for the top spot.

Belinda Bencic defeated Petra Kvitová in the final, 6–3, 1–6, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 Dubai Tennis Championships. She saved six match points en route to the title, in the third round against Aryna Sabalenka. For the second time in her career, Bencic defeated four consecutive top-ten players en route to a Premier 5 title. This was her first WTA singles title since winning the Premier 5 Rogers Cup title in 2015, and lifted her back inside the top 25 in rankings for the first time in over two and a half years.

Ashleigh Barty defeated Markéta Vondroušová in the final, 6–1, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 French Open. It was her first major singles title, making her the first Australian to win a French Open singles title since Margaret Court in 1973 and the first to win any major singles title since Samantha Stosur at the 2011 US Open.

Defending champions Tímea Babos and Kristina Mladenovic defeated Hsieh Su-wei and Barbora Strýcová in the final, 6–1, 6–3 to win the doubles tennis title at the 2019 WTA Finals. It was Babos’ third straight title, as she also won in 2017.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Petra Kvitová in the final, 6–3, 6–3 to win the singles tennis title at the 2020 WTA Qatar Open.
Petra Kvitová defeated Garbiñe Muguruza in the final, 6–2, 6–1 to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 WTA Qatar Open. The final was a rematch of the 2018 final. It was Kvitová's second title at the WTA Qatar Open. Kvitová dropped just one set the entire tournament, to Anett Kontaveit in the quarterfinals.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Ashleigh Barty in the final, 6–0, 3–6, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was her 10th career WTA Tour singles title, and her first on clay.
Caroline Garcia defeated Aryna Sabalenka in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 WTA Finals. Garcia became the first Frenchwoman to win the season-ending championships since Amélie Mauresmo in 2005.
