The 2018 Kremlin Cup was a tennis tournament played on indoor hard courts. It was the 29th edition of the Kremlin Cup for the men and the 23rd edition for the women. The tournament was part of the ATP World Tour 250 Series of the 2018 ATP World Tour, and of the Premier Series of the 2018 WTA Tour. It was the last tournament for now to be held at the Olympic Stadium in Moscow, Russia, from 15 October through 21 October 2018.

Naomi Osaka defeated Ashleigh Barty in the final, 3–6, 6–3, 6–2 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2019 China Open. It was Osaka's second Premier Mandatory-level title.
Naomi Osaka defeated Victoria Azarenka in the final, 1–6, 6–3, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2020 US Open. It was her second US Open title and third major title overall. Osaka became the first player from an Asian country to win three major singles titles, the first player since Jennifer Capriati to win three such titles in three attempts and, at 22 years of age, the youngest player to win three major titles since Maria Sharapova at the 2008 Australian Open. Azarenka, who was in her first major final since the 2013 US Open, was aiming to become the first mother to win a major singles title since Kim Clijsters won the 2011 Australian Open.

It was the inaugural professional edition of the event and a WTA 500 tournament on the 2021 WTA Tour. It took place at the Zayed Sports City International Tennis Centre in Abu Dhabi, from 6 to 13 January 2021.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Ashleigh Barty in the final, 6–0, 3–6, 6–4 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Madrid Open. It was her 10th career WTA Tour singles title, and her first on clay.
Iga Świątek defeated Karolína Plíšková in the final, 6–0, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2021 Italian Open. It was her first WTA 1000 singles title, and the 13 points Świątek lost in the championship match is the fewest on record in a WTA 1000-level final. This was the first WTA Tour singles final to be resolved with a 'double bagel' scoreline since Simona Halep defeated Anastasija Sevastova at the 2016 Bucharest Open, and was just the tenth such final in WTA Tour history. With the win, Świątek broke into the top 10 of the WTA rankings for the first time. Both finalists saved match points in prior rounds – Świątek saved two match points in her third round match against Barbora Krejčíková, whilst Plíšková saved three match points in her quarterfinal match against Jeļena Ostapenko.
Ashleigh Barty defeated Karolína Plíšková in the final, 6–3, 6–7(4–7), 6–3 to win the ladies' singles tennis title at the 2021 Wimbledon Championships. She became the first Australian to win the title since Evonne Goolagong Cawley in 1980, the first top seed to win the title since Serena Williams in 2016 and the first to do so at any major since Simona Halep at the 2018 French Open. Barty's victory made her the fourth player, following Ann Jones, Martina Hingis and Amélie Mauresmo, to win the women's singles title after previously winning the girls' singles title. She retained the WTA No. 1 singles ranking by reaching the semifinals, with Aryna Sabalenka having also been in contention for the top ranking.
Ashleigh Barty defeated Danielle Collins in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–2) to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Australian Open. She became the first home player to win an Australian Open singles title since Chris O'Neil in 1978. It was Barty's third major singles title, and she won the title without losing a set, dropping just three service games during the tournament. The final also marked Barty's last professional appearance, as she announced her retirement from the sport two months later.

It was the 51st edition of the singles event and the 46th edition of the doubles competition. The tournament was held on an indoor hardcourt at the Dickies Arena in Fort Worth, Texas, marking the return of the tournament to the United States after 17 years, and was contested by the eight highest-ranked singles players and doubles teams of the 2022 WTA Tour.

Iga Świątek defeated Naomi Osaka in the final, 6–4, 6–0 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Miami Open. She became the fourth woman in history to complete the Sunshine Double in singles, having won Indian Wells two weeks earlier. It was Świątek's first Miami Open title, her third consecutive WTA 1000 title, and her fourth WTA 1000-level title overall. Świątek became the first woman in history to win the first three WTA 1000 titles of the year in succession, the first player since Serena Williams in 2013 to win three consecutive WTA 1000 titles, and extended her winning streak to 17 matches. She lost no sets and just 26 games en route to the title, the fewest since Martina Hingis dropped 21 games in 2000.

It was the 95th edition of the event on the 2022 WTA Tour, the second year it has been organized on grass, and was classified as a WTA 500 tournament.
The 2022 Bad Homburg Open was a women's professional tennis tournament played on outdoor grass courts at the TC Bad Homburg in Bad Homburg, Germany, from 19 June to 25 June 2022. It was the second edition of the Bad Homburg Open and was classified as a WTA 250 event on the 2022 WTA Tour.
Simona Halep defeated Beatriz Haddad Maia in the final, 6–3, 2–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2022 Canadian Open. It was her third Canadian Open title. Haddad Maia became the first Brazilian to contest a WTA 1000-level final.
Aryna Sabalenka defeated Iga Świątek in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the women's singles tennis title at the 2023 Madrid Open. This marked the first time since 2013 that the top two seeds reached the Madrid Open final. It was the first time since 2000 that the top two players on the WTA Tour contested back-to-back finals. The last time was 23 years ago, when Lindsay Davenport and Martina Hingis contested the Indian Wells and Miami finals.
