In the 2019 rugby league season, Widnes Vikings competed in the RFL Championship, the Challenge Cup and the 1895 Cup. It was the first season since their relegation from the Super League at the end of 2018. [1] Widnes began the season on -12 points after going into administration, but following a takeover and the appointment of a new board of directors the club were able to maintain their Championship status and reach the final of the 1895 Cup. [2]

The Widnes Vikings are an English rugby league club in Widnes, Cheshire, which competes in the Betfred Championship. The club plays home matches at DCBL Stadium. Founded as Widnes Football Club, they are one of the original twenty-two rugby clubs that formed the Northern Rugby Football Union in 1895. Their historic nickname is "The Chemics" after the main industry in Widnes, but now they use their modern nickname, "The Vikings".

The Widnes Vikings competed in the Co-operative Championship in 2009. This was their first season under their new head coachPaul Cullen who replaced the outgoing Steve McCormack. Under Cullen's stewardship, Widnes managed to advance to the final of the Northern Rail Cup and ultimately won the cup, ensuring the club could apply for Super League membership in 2012.

This article details the Bradford Bulls rugby league football club's 2019 season. This is the Bulls 1st season back in the Championship after gaining promotion from League 1 by beating Workington Town 27–8 in the play off final.
The 2019 Rugby Football League Championship was a rugby league football competition played primarily in England but including teams from Canada and France. It is the second tier of the three tiers of professional rugby league in England, below Super League and above League 1. Following rule changes agreed at the end of the 2018 season, the Super 8's format has been abandoned and the Championship will feature a play-off system leading to promotion to Super League for one club while results during the regular season will lead to relegation to League 1 for two teams.
In the 2019 rugby league season, Featherstone Rovers competed in the RFL Championship, the Challenge Cup and the 1895 Cup. Featherstone finished fifth in the league to qualify for the play-offs where they lost 24–6 to Toronto Wolfpack in the Grand Final.
In the 2021 rugby league season York City Knights competed in the 2021 RFL Championship, the 2021 Challenge Cup and the 2021 RFL 1895 Cup. It was the first season that the club played at the York Community Stadium. At the RFL end of year awards York was named as the Championship Club of the Year.
In the 2023 rugby league season, Featherstone Rovers competed in the RFL Championship and the Challenge Cup. In the Championship, Featherstone won the League Leaders' Shield having lost only two regular season games, but suffered a 36–22 upset in the play-off semi-final against London Broncos.
