Roxette was a Swedish pop rock duo, consisting of Marie Fredriksson and Per Gessle. Formed in 1986, the duo became an international act in the late 1980s, when they released their breakthrough album Look Sharp! Their third album Joyride, which was released in 1991, became just as successful as its predecessor. Roxette went on to achieve nineteen UK Top 40 hits and several US Hot 100 hits, including four US number-ones with "The Look", "Listen to Your Heart", "It Must Have Been Love", featured on the soundtrack of Pretty Woman, and "Joyride". "She's Got Nothing On " preceded the album as its lead single, which became the duo's highest-peaking single in almost two decades in territories such as Austria, Germany and Switzerland. Roxette Live: Traveling the World is the first and only live album by Swedish pop duo Roxette, released on 6 December 2013 by Parlophone in conjunction with Warner Music. The set consists of recordings derived from three separate performances of the 2012 South American leg of "The Neverending World Tour". The music album contains their 5 May concert at the Teatro Caupolicán in Santiago, Chile in its entirety, while the DVD and Blu-ray also contains songs taken from their performances at the Orfeo Superdomo in Córdoba, Argentina on 3 May and the Teatro Positivo in Curitiba, Brazil on 8 May. Also included on the DVD/Blu-ray is an exclusive documentary, "It All Begins Where It Ends – The Incredible Story of Roxette".
"Äntligen" is a pop rock song by Swedish singer-songwriter Marie Fredriksson, released on 20 March 2000 by EMI as the lead single from her first greatest hits compilation album, Äntligen – Marie Fredrikssons bästa 1984–2000. The track was written and produced by Fredriksson alongside her husband Mikael Bolyos, and recorded at the couple's home studio in Djursholm. The song was a minor hit in her home country upon release, peaking at number 34 and spending eight weeks on the Swedish Singles Chart. A remixed version of the song, titled "Solen gick ner över stan", appeared as the b-side; an edited version of this remix also appeared as a bonus track on the parent compilation.

Fredriksson is predominantly known internationally as the lead singer for pop duo Roxette, although she first found success in her native country through her solo albums. Het vind was released in 1984, spawning the top twenty hit "Ännu doftar kärlek". Her second album, Den sjunde vågen, was released in 1986; the same year Roxette released their debut album, Pearls of Passion. In 1987, ... Efter stormen became the first of her four number one albums in Sweden, and was preceded by the title track—her first top ten hit.
