The title song, "My Pride," was a cover of Fiona Fung's English song, "Proud of You" and was named one of the greatest Cantonese songs of all time.

Yoga Lin Youjia is a Taiwanese singer. He was the winner of One Million Star, Season 1, a reality TV singing competition in Taiwan during his study at National Dong Hwa University. During the competition, he once contemplated quitting due to the elimination of his good friend, Eddie Tsai (蔡政霖). However, show producers persuaded him to maintain his composure and regain his determination, attaining five rounds of perfect scores continuously after that – an unbeatable record up to now. After winning first place in Season One, he was signed by HIM International Music along with three fellow contestants, Judy Chou (周定緯), Peter Pan (潘裕文) and Stanly Hsu (許仁杰). They were dubbed the "Four Princes of Superstar Avenue" (星光四少).

Derrick Hoh Wei Jian is a Singaporean singer and songwriter who is active in the Chinese Mandopop scene. He gained nationwide recognition after emerging as the second runner up in Channel U's Project SuperStar in 2005.

JPM is a Taiwanese Mandopop music band formed under the management of Sony Music company with artists Jay Chou, Leehom Wang, and Vanness Wu. The group debuted on January 11, 2011 with three members: Liljay, Prince, and Mao Di from A Legend Star Entertainment Corp. Two members were originally part of Lollipop until 2009, while Mao Di is from Choc7.

He later debuted as a member of the South Korean-Chinese boy band Exo and its Chinese sub-unit Exo-M boy band under SM Entertainment in 2012.

Play is the thirteenth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on November 15, 2014, by Warner and Eternal. Produced by Starr Chen, Andrew Chen, Tiger Chung, JJ Lin, and Michael Lin, it broke away from the framework of traditional Chinese albums with rich musical contents and all-encompassing themes.

Eric Chou is a Taiwanese singer, songwriter and actor. He has been dubbed by the Taiwanese media as "king of the lovelorn people". Chou's self-composed smash hit "The Distance of Love", the ending theme of the 2014 Taiwanese drama The Way We Were, where he also made a cameo, reached 100 million views on YouTube, making Chou the youngest Mandopop artist to reach the feat at that time.

Chinese rapper and singer Lay Zhang has released four studio albums, four extended plays, seventeen singles and five soundtrack appearances. In May 2016, he released his first solo single called "Monodrama" for the Station project. Zhang made his official solo debut on 7 October 2016 with the release of the song "What U Need?". His first extended play, titled Lose Control, was released on 28 October of the same year. The EP was a commercial success, peaking at number 1 on the Gaon Album Chart and placing seventh on the list of best-selling albums of 2016.

The Hito Music Awards is an annual Mandopop music awards show, presented by Hit FM in Taiwan. Unlike the Golden Melody Awards, which are awarded on the basis of votes by members of the jury, the Hito Music Awards are determined by a poll of the public and fans, who can vote through the official website.

<i>Ugly Beauty</i> 2018 studio album by Jolin Tsai

Ugly Beauty is the fourteenth studio album by Taiwanese singer Jolin Tsai. It was released on December 26, 2018, by Sony and Eternal. It was produced by Tsai with Razor Chiang, Starr Chen, Howe Chen, and Øzi. Musically, it is a pop record which merged a series of genres such as trap, house, reggae, and gothic rock. Thematically, it tends to break through the traditional aesthetic criterion and explore the bipolarity of human feeling, and Tsai wants to "uncover the ugliness hidden behind the perfect surface, and peek into the emotions that try the best to be buried" through the album.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Wowkie Zhang</span> Chinese singer (born 1983)

Wowkie Zhang or Da Zhang Wei is a Chinese singer, songwriter, and musician. He is best known as the lead singer, guitarist, and primary songwriter of the rock band, The Flowers. He is famous for his song, "Sunshine, Rainbow, White Pony". He was also known for briefly coaching the Flash Wolves in 2016.
