The 2019–20 North Carolina A&T Aggies men's basketball team represent North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Aggies, led by 4th-year head coach Jay Joyner, play their home games at the Corbett Sports Center in Greensboro, North Carolina as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference.
The Aggies finished the 2018–19 season 19–13 overall, 13–3 in MEAC play, finishing in 2nd place. In the MEAC tournament, they defeated Coppin State in the quarterfinals, [1] before falling to North Carolina Central in the semifinals. [2]

The Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference (MEAC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose full members are historically black colleges and universities (HBCUs) in the Southeastern and the Mid-Atlantic United States. It participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association's (NCAA) Division I, and in football, in the Football Championship Subdivision (FCS).
The 2014–15 Coppin State Eagles men's basketball team represented Coppin State University during the 2014–15 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by first year head coach Michael Grant, played their home games at the Physical Education Complex and were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 8–23 6–10 in MEAC play to finish in a tie for ninth place. They advanced to the quarterfinals of the MEAC TOurnament where they lost to North Carolina Central.
The 2015–16 North Carolina A&T Aggies men's basketball team represented North Carolina Agricultural and Technical State University during the 2015–16 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Aggies were led by fourth-year head coach Cy Alexander. Alexander resigned as head on January 26, 2016. Assistant coach Jay Joyner took over on interim basis. They played their home games at the Corbett Sports Center and were members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 10–22, 7–9 record in MEAC play to finish in a three-way tie for sixth place. They lost to Coppin State in the first round of the MEAC tournament.

The Aggies, led by Jay Joyner in his first full year as head coach, played their home games at the Corbett Sports Center in Greensboro, North Carolina as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 3–29, 1–15 in MEAC play to finish in last place. They lost in the first round of the MEAC tournament to Maryland Eastern Shore.

The 2019–20 North Carolina Central Eagles men's basketball team represented North Carolina Central University in the 2019–20 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Eagles, led by 11th-year head coach LeVelle Moton, played their home games at McDougald–McLendon Arena in Durham, North Carolina as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 19-14, 13–3 in MEAC play, winning the MEAC regular season championship. They defeated Delaware State in the quarterfinals of the MEAC tournament. They were scheduled to play the winner of the quarterfinal matchup between Bethune–Cookman and Morgan State in the semifinals, but the remainder of the tournament was cancelled due to the ongoing COVID pandemic.
The 1997 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place March 3–8, 1997, at Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall in Norfolk, Virginia. Coppin State defeated North Carolina A&T, 81–74 (OT) in the championship game, to win its second MEAC Tournament title.

The Spartans, led by eighth-year head coach Robert Jones, played their home games at the Joseph G. Echols Memorial Hall in Norfolk, Virginia as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. With the creation of divisions to cut down on travel due to the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, they played in the Northern division. They finished the season 17–8, 8–4 in MEAC play to finish in tie for first place in the Northern division. They defeated North Carolina Central in the quarterfinals of the MEAC tournament and advanced to the championship when North Carolina A&T withdrew from the tournament due to COVID-19 protocols. They defeated Morgan State to win the tournament championship. As a result, they received the conference's automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as a No. 16 seed in the West region. They defeated Appalachian State in the First Four, but were eliminated by No. 1 overall seed Gonzaga in the first round.

As a result, they received the conference’s automatic bid to the NCAA tournament as the No. 16 seed in the East Region where they lost in the first round to Baylor.
The 1996 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place February 29–March 2, 1996, at the Leon County Civic Center in Tallahassee, Florida. South Carolina State defeated Coppin State, 69–56 in the championship game, to win its second MEAC Tournament title.
The 1994 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place March 8–11, 1994, at the Talmadge L. Hill Field House in Baltimore, Maryland. It was the first time in twenty years that Baltimore had hosted the MEAC men's tournament. North Carolina A&T defeated South Carolina State, 87–70 in the championship game, to win its 14th MEAC Tournament title.
The 1995 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place February 28–March 3, 1995, at the Talmadge L. Hill Field House in Baltimore, Maryland. North Carolina A&T defeated Coppin State, 66–64 in the championship game, to win its 15th MEAC Tournament title.
The 1998 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place March 3–7, 1998, at the Richmond Coliseum in Richmond, Virginia. South Carolina State defeated Coppin State, 66–61 in the championship game, to win its 3rd MEAC Tournament title.
The 1988 Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference men's basketball tournament took place March 3–5, 1988, at Greensboro Coliseum in Greensboro, North Carolina. North Carolina A&T defeated Florida A&M, 101–86 in the championship game, to win its seventh consecutive MEAC Tournament title.

The Aggies, led by first-year head coach Roy Thomas, played their home games at the Corbett Sports Center as members of the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference. They finished the season 15–15, 10–6 in MEAC play to finish in third place. They were champions of the MEAC tournament, winning the championship game over Coppin State, to earn an automatic bid to the 1995 NCAA tournament. Playing as No. 16 seed in the East region, they were defeated by No. 1 seed Wake Forest, 79–47, in the opening round.
