Defending champion Roger Federer defeated Novak Djokovic in the final, 7–6(7–1), 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2015 Cincinnati Masters. He won the title without losing a set or having his serve broken for the second time, after 2012. Hubert Hurkacz defeated Jannik Sinner in the final, 7–6(7–4), 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2021 Miami Open. It was his first Masters 1000 singles title, and he became the first Pole to win a Masters 1000 singles title.

Benoît Paire was the defending champion from when the event was last held in 2019, but chose to participate in Geneva instead.

Kevin Anderson defeated Jenson Brooksby in the final, 7–6(10–8), 6–4, to win the singles tennis title at the 2021 Hall of Fame Open. It was played on outdoor grass courts and was part of the 250 series of the 2021 ATP Tour. It took place at the International Tennis Hall of Fame in Newport, Rhode Island, United States from 12 to 18 July 2021.

Alex de Minaur was the reigning champion from when the tournament was last held in 2019, but chose not to participate this year.

Thanasi Kokkinakis defeated Arthur Rinderknech in the final, 6–7(6–8), 7–6(7–5), 6–3 to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Adelaide International 2. It was his first ATP Tour title, and he won it in his hometown of Adelaide. Kokkinakis saved a match point against Marin Čilić in the semifinals.

Reilly Opelka defeated Jenson Brooksby in the final, 7–6(7–5), 7–6(7–3) to win the singles title at the 2022 Dallas Open. This was the first edition of the tournament.

Taylor Fritz defeated Rafael Nadal in the final, 6–3, 7–6(7–5) to win the men's singles title at the 2022 Indian Wells Masters. It was his first Masters 1000 title and second career title overall. Fritz became the first American to win the title since Andre Agassi in 2001, and ended Nadal's 20-match winning streak, dating back to the 2022 Melbourne Open.

Richard Gasquet defeated Cameron Norrie in the final, 4–6, 6–4, 6–4 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 ASB Classic. It was his 16th ATP Tour singles title, and his first since 2018.

Defending champion Carlos Alcaraz defeated Jan-Lennard Struff in the final, 6–4, 3–6, 6–3 to win the men's singles tennis title at the 2023 Madrid Open. It was his fourth Masters 1000 title. Struff was the first lucky loser to reach a Masters final.
