The 2020 Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships were the inaugural Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships and held from 11 to 12 January 2020 in Montreal, Canada. [1] Skaters from eight different countries (Canada, China, Colombia, Japan, the Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, United States) competed, of which South Korea was the most successful team, winning all ten events.

The Four Continents Figure Skating Championships (4CC) is an annual figure skating competition. The International Skating Union established it in 1999 to provide skaters representing non-European countries with a similar competition to the much older European Figure Skating Championships. The event's name refers to the Americas, Africa, Asia and Oceania. Medals are awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, women's singles, pairs, and ice dance.
The World Short Track Speed Skating Championships are a senior international short track speed skating competition held once a year to determine the World Champion in individual distances, relays and Overall Classification. It is sanctioned by the International Skating Union and is usually held in March or April.
Kwak Min-jeong is a South Korean former competitive figure skater. She is the 2011 South Korean bronze medalist, the 2010 South Korean silver medalist and the 2009 Junior national champion. Kwak was also a member of the South Korean Olympic Team at the 2010 Winter Olympics, where she placed 13th in the ladies' event.
Olivier Jean is a three time Olympian who represented Canada in both short and long track speed skating. Olivier Jean is a gold medalist from the Vancouver 2010 Olympic Games in the men's 5000m relay. He is a Canadian short track speed skater, racing internationally from 2002 to 2015 and switched to long track speed skating, competing internationally from 2015 to 2018. Olivier competed at his second Olympic Games in Sochi 2014 in short track speed skating, and for his third game appearance, switched to long track speed skating, competing in the mass start at the 2018 Pyeongchang Olympic Games. His appearance is well known for his dreadlocks and for listening to reggae, which he says makes him skate faster.
Katherine Reutter-Adamek is an American short track speed skater. She is a two-time medalist in the Winter Olympics, 2011 overall world silver medalist and the 2010–2011 overall ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup champion.
Shim Suk-hee is a South Korean short track speed skater. She is a two-time Olympic Champion and a World Champion (2014).
Kim Cheol-min is a South Korean speed skater.
Joo Hyong-jun is a South Korean speed skater.
Choi Min-jeong is a South Korean short track speed skater. She is a three-time Olympic Champion, a four-time World Champion, Four Continents Champion (2020), and the current world record holder for 1500m. Along with Chun Lee-kyung and Jin Sun-yu, Choi is widely regarded as one of the best female Korean short track speed skaters of all time.
You Young is a South Korean figure skater. She is the 2020 Four Continents silver medalist, a four-time Grand Prix bronze medalist, a four-time Challenger series medalist, and a five-time South Korean national champion
Cha Jun-Hwan is a South Korean figure skater. He is the 2023 Worlds silver medalist, the 2022 Four Continents champion, the 2018–2019 Grand Prix Final bronze medalist, a five-time Grand Prix medalist, a four-time ISU Challenger Series medalist, as well as a seven-time consecutive South Korean national champion (2017–2023). He represented South Korea at the 2018 Winter Olympics and the 2022 Winter Olympics. At the junior level, Cha is the 2016–17 Junior Grand Prix Final bronze medalist and a two-time Junior Grand Prix gold medalist.
Hwang Dae-heon is a South Korean short track speed skater. He also currently holds the world record in men's 1000 metres short track speed skating.

Medals were awarded in the disciplines of men's singles, ladies' singles, pair skating, and ice dance.
The 2020–21 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup was planned to be a multi-race tournament over a season for short track speed skating. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the ISU did not manage to organize the competitions.

Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships is an annual short-track speed-skating competition. Its inaugural event was held in 2020, while its second and third editions were cancelled in 2021 and 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. The second edition of the event was held from 10–12 November 2022 in Salt Lake City, United States of America.
