Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships is an annual short-track speed-skating competition. It was established by the International Skating Union in 2019 to allow athletes from outside Europe to compete at the event. Its inaugural event was held in 2020, while its second and third editions were cancelled in 2021 and 2022 due to the coronavirus pandemic. [1] The second edition of the event was held from 10–12 November 2022 in Salt Lake City, United States of America. The 2025 edition, scheduled for November 2024, was cancelled due to track safety concerns. [2]

Short-track speed skating is a form of competitive ice speed skating. In competitions, multiple skaters skate on an oval ice track with a length of 111.111 metres (364.54 ft). The rink itself is 60 metres (196.85 ft) long by 30 metres (98.43 ft) wide, which is the same size as an Olympic-sized figure skating rink and an international-sized ice hockey rink. Related sports include long-track speed skating and inline speed skating.
The 1996 World Short Track Speed Skating Championships took place between March 1 and 3, 1996 in The Hague, Netherlands. The World Championships are organised by the ISU which also run world cups and championships in speed skating and figure skating.
Choi Min-jeong is a South Korean short track speed skater. She is a three-time Olympic Champion, a four-time World Champion, Four Continents Champion (2020), and the current world record holder for 1500m. Along with Chun Lee-kyung and Jin Sun-yu, Choi is widely regarded as one of the best female Korean short track speed skaters of all time.

The 2021–22 ISU Short Track Speed Skating World Cup is a multi-race tournament over a season for short track speed skating. The season began on 21 October 2021 in China and ended on 28 November 2021 in Netherlands. The World Cup is organised by the ISU who also runs world cups and championships in speed skating and figure skating.

The 2023 Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships is the second Four Continents Short Track Speed Skating Championships and to be held from 10 to 12 November 2022 in Salt Lake City, United States. Skaters from 13 countries participated in the competition.
The 2024–25 ISU Short Track World Tour is a multi-race series over a season of short track speed skating, organised by the International Skating Union (ISU), which organised also runs world cups and championships in speed skating and figure skating. It is the 1st edition of the ISU Short Track World Tour, and is planned to commence on 25 October 2024 and end on 16 February 2025.
