The 2020 Ligue de Football de Saint Pierre et Miquelon was the 35th season of top-division football in Saint Pierre and Miquelon. Three clubs competed in the league: AS Saint Pierraise, A.S. Miquelonnaise and A.S. Ilienne Amateur. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the season was truncated to 12 matches instead of 16. The season began on 27 June 2020 instead of its normal May beginning and concluded on 19 September 2020.

Saint Pierre and Miquelon's first official match was an 11–0 defeat to Réunion in the 2010 Coupe de l'Outre-Mer, a competition for teams representing the Overseas departments and territories of France.

In Saint-Pierre and Miquelon there are three amateur clubs, playing only one level. The league is played from the beginning of June and the end of September each year due to climatic conditions. The current president is Hervé Huet.

A.S. Saint Pierraise Football club

Association Sportive Saint-Pierraise or ASSP, is a Saint Pierre and Miquelon football club. Founded in 1903, the club is the oldest football team on the island. The club plays their home fixtures at Stade Léonce Claireaux. Its official colours are green and white.

A.S. Miquelonnaise Football club

Association Sportive Miquelonnaise is a Saint Pierre and Miquelon football club which currently competes in the Ligue SPM. The club plays its home fixtures at Stade de l'Avenir. Since the 2020 season the team has been managed by Bruno Ferry.

A.S. Îlienne Amateur Football club

A.S. Ilienne Amateur is a Saint Pierre and Miquelon football club which currently competes in the Ligue SPM. The club plays its home fixtures at Stade John Girardin. With 28 League titles and 25 Coupe de l'Archipel titles the club is the most successful in the territory's history.

The COVID-19 pandemic was confirmed to have reached the French overseas collectivity of Saint Pierre and Miquelon on 5 April 2020. Earlier, ferry service between Newfoundland and Saint Pierre and Miquelon had been suspended. Air and ferry service between the islands of St. Pierre and Miquelon have been reduced. The tourism sector is expected to be affected by the pandemic and related measures. The collectivity has been under lockdown since 17 March.

The 2020–21 Coupe de France was the 104th season of the main football cup competition of France. The competition was organised by the French Football Federation (FFF) and is normally open to all clubs in French football, as well as clubs from the overseas departments and territories. The final match of the season is scheduled for 18 September 2021. Miquelonnaise clinched the championship after a 5–0 victory over Saint Pierraise in Match 20.

Bruno Ferry is a French football manager who has been the head coach of A.S. Miquelonnaise of the Ligue SPM since 2020. He is a former professional goalkeeper.

Simon Hebditch is a former professional ice hockey player and current international footballer who currently plays for Saint Pierraise of the Ligue SPM. He is a former player of the Saint Pierre and Miquelon national team.
