The 2020 Barbados Premier League was the 75th season of the Barbados Premier League, the top division football competition in Barbados. The season began on 1 February 2020. [1] The season was suspended on 17 March 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic. [2]

The Premier League is the highest level of the English football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the English Football League (EFL). Seasons usually run from August to May, with each team playing 38 matches: two against each other, one home and one away. Most games are played on weekend afternoons, with occasional weekday evening fixtures.

The season started on 14 November 2020. 18 teams were competing in the league with each club playing each other twice, home and away, with the three clubs at the bottom of the league relegated to the Division One League. Hearts of Oak became champion for the first time since twelve years.
