The 2017 Barbados Premier League (officially the Digicel Premier League for sponsorship reasons) is the 71st season of the highest tier of football in Barbados. UWI Blackbirds are the defending champions, coming off their first league title.

Barbados Premier League Top football league in Barbados

The Premier League is the top football league in Barbados. It was created in 1947 and is headed by the Barbados Football Association. Ten teams participate in this league. It is known as the Digicel Premier League for sponsorship reasons.

The 2011–12 Football Conference season was the eighth season in which the Football Conference consisted of three divisions and the thirty-third season overall. The 2015 Barbados Premier Division was the 69th season of the highest tier of football in Barbados. Barbados Defense Force won their final six matches to hold off Rendezvous FC for their third consecutive league title and fifth overall. With BDF having already completed their schedule, Rendezvous FC needed to make up 11 goals in goal differential with a win on the final day of the season to pull even with BDF, but managed only a 2-1 victory over Weymouth Wales. The season began on February 8 and concluded on July 23.

Pinelands United were winless and are joined by Empire Club in being relegated to Barbados First Division for the 2017 season.

The 2016–17 TT Pro League season is the eighteenth season of the TT Pro League, the Trinidad and Tobago professional league for association football clubs, since its establishment in 1999. A total of ten teams are contesting the league, with Central FC the defending champions from the 2015–16 season. The 2017–18 DPR Korea Premier Football League was the first season of the reformed DPR Korea Premier Football League, the top North Korean association football league, to use a home-and-away format. The league started on 1 December 2017 and will continue until 28 October 2018. Matches will be played on Saturdays and Sundays only.

The 2018 Barbados Premier League is the 72nd season of the highest tier of football in Barbados. The season began on 11 March and ended on 8 July 2018.

Thierry Gale is a Barbadian footballer who plays as a forward for Budapest Honvéd FC and the Barbados national team.

The 2019–20 Southern Football League season was the 117th in the history of the Southern League since its establishment in 1894. The league has two Premier divisions at step 3 of the National League System (NLS) and two Division One divisions at step 4 of the NLS. These correspond with Levels 7 and 8 of the English football league system.
