2021 European Truck Racing Championship

The 2021 European Truck Racing Championship was a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It was the 37th year of the championship. A seven round calendar was announced on November 17, 2020, which was slated to begin May 22, 2021 at the Misano World Circuit in Italy and conclude with October 3 at the Circuito del Jarama in Spain. [1] However, due to continued restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the round at Misano was postponed to the end of the season, moving the round at the Hungaroring in Hungary on June 12 as the first race of the season. [2]

For the 2021 season, began a program promoting energy sustainability by having all competitors use biodiesel, making it the first FIA sanctioned series to utilize 100% sustainable fuel sources. TotalEnergies became the exclusive fuel provider for the series and provided competitors with Hydrotreated vegetable oil as fuel. [3]

Norbert Kiss won his third championship in the series, while Shane Brereton took his second victory in the Goodyear Cup.

Calendar

A 7 round championship was announced on November 17, 2020. The Slovakia Ring fell off the schedule after having appeared in several previous seasons. The original schedule was slated to begin at the Misano World Circuit, but was postponed, leaving the Hungaroring as the opening round. [1]

The round at the Nürburgring was expanded to hold 6 races instead of the standard 4 race format, with 3 races held each day between July 17 and 18. However, the event was cancelled days before it was scheduled due to major infrastructure damage in the surrounding area caused by severe flooding. [4]

The 2021 FIA Formula 2 Championship was a motor racing championship for Formula 2 cars that was sanctioned by the Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA). The championship was the fifty-fifth season of Formula 2 racing and the fifth season run under the FIA Formula 2 Championship moniker. It was an open-wheel racing category that served as the second tier of formula racing in the FIA Global Pathway. The category was run in support of selected rounds of the 2021 FIA Formula One World Championship. The 2022 ACCR Formula 4 Trophy was a motor racing series held in the Central and Eastern Europe, competed over four rounds. The full six rounds schedule was supposed to be the first season of the ACCR Formula 4 Championship organized by the Automobile Club of the Czech Republic. The season was supposed to start with its first round taking place at the Hungaroring in April and with the final round taking place at Brno Circuit in September. After many calendar changes caused by massive delivery delays, it was announced on 6 July that the start of the championship as an FIA Formula 4 Championship would be postponed to 2023 and that only the last three original rounds would be held as a trophy series. The series uses Tatuus F4-T-421 chassis primarily, although Tatuus F4-T014 was eligible for the Trophy class.

The 2022 Software AG ERA Championship, formally known as the 2022 Electric Racing Academy Championship was a motor racing championship for open wheel, all-electric formula racing cars. This was the inaugural season of the championship. It was scheduled to be run over five double-header rounds and starts on 10 June at Hungaroring.

It is the 39th year of the championship. A nine-round season was announced on 7 December 2022, with the season beginning on 20 May at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and ending on 1 October at the Circuito del Jarama. The season was shortened to eight rounds pre-season due to construction work at the Hungaroring.
