The 2022 European Truck Racing Championship was a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It was the 38th year of the championship. An eight-round season was announced on 21 December 2021, with the season beginning on 21 May at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and ended on 2 October at the Circuito del Jarama. [1]
An eight-round calendar was announced on 21 December 2021. The Slovakia Ring returned to the series schedule after being removed for the previous season. The round at the Nürburgring also returned after the 2021 European floods forced its cancellation the previous year. [1]

The Nürburgring is a 150,000 person capacity motorsports complex located in the town of Nürburg, Rhineland-Palatinate, Germany. It features a Grand Prix race track built in 1984, and a long Nordschleife "North loop" track, built in the 1920s, around the village and medieval castle of Nürburg in the Eifel mountains. The north loop is 20.830 km (12.943 mi) long and contains more than 300 metres of elevation change from its lowest to highest points. Jackie Stewart nicknamed the track "The Green Hell".
The Misano World Circuit is a race track located next to the town of Misano Adriatico in the frazione of Santa Monica-Cella. Originally designed in 1969 as a length of 3.488 km (2.167 mi), it hosted its first event in 1972. In 1993, the track length was increased to 4.064 km (2.525 mi).
Automotodróm Slovakia Ring is a 5.935 km (3.688 mi) motor racing circuit in Orechová Potôň, Dunajská Streda District in Slovakia, approximately 30 km (19 mi) away from Bratislava Airport. It was built between 2008 and 2009.
Raffaele "Lello" Marciello is a Swiss-born Italian professional racing driver. A former member of the Ferrari Driver Academy, he was the 2013 European Formula Three Champion, a reserve and test driver for the Sauber Formula One team in 2015, and spent three seasons competing in the GP2 Series. He switched to GT racing in 2017 and became a works Mercedes-AMG driver ahead of the 2018 campaign, where he stayed until leaving in 2023 and subsequently signing with BMW. In 2022, Marciello earned his first major endurance race victory by winning the Spa 24 Hours.
The 2017 GT Series Sprint Cup, known for sponsorship reasons as the 2017 Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup, was the fifth season of the GT Series Sprint Cup following on from the demise of the SRO Group's FIA GT1 World Championship, the fourth with the designation of Blancpain Sprint Series or Blancpain GT Series Sprint Cup.
The 2017 GT4 European Series Northern Cup was the tenth season of the GT4 European Series Northern Cup, a sports car championship created and organised by the Stéphane Ratel Organisation (SRO). It was the first season after it was renamed from GT4 European Series to GT4 European Series Northern Cup.

Dries Vanthoor is a racing driver from Belgium who is set to compete in the FIA World Endurance Championship with BMW M Team WRT. In his previous role as an Audi factory driver Vanthoor amassed multiple accolades, winning the 2018 Bathurst 12 Hours and 2019 24 Hours of Nürburgring, as well as taking three consecutive titles in the GT World Challenge Europe Sprint Cup from 2020 to 2022 alongside Charles Weerts.
The 2019 FIA European Truck Racing Championship is a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It is the 35th year of the championship. The eight-round season began May 25 at the Misano World Circuit and ended October 6 at the Circuito del Jarama. Jochen Hahn dominated the season en route to his sixth career ETRC championship, securing the title one round early at the Bugatti Circuit in France.

An eight-round season was originally slated to begin April 25 at the Hungaroring and end October 4 at the Circuito del Jarama. However, due to the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic, the schedule was delayed, shortened, and rearranged, with a two-round season starting August 29 at Autodrom Most and ending October 18 at the Hungaroring.

Gabriele Minì is an Italian racing driver who is set to compete in the 2024 FIA Formula 3 Championship with Prema Racing, having previously drove for Hitech Grand Prix. He is the 2020 Italian F4 Champion, and was runner-up during the 2022 Formula Regional European Championship. He is a member of the Alpine Academy.
The 2021 European Truck Racing Championship was a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It was the 37th year of the championship. A seven round calendar was announced on November 17, 2020, which was slated to begin May 22, 2021 at the Misano World Circuit in Italy and conclude with October 3 at the Circuito del Jarama in Spain. However, due to continued restrictions resulting from the COVID-19 pandemic, the round at Misano was postponed to the end of the season, moving the round at the Hungaroring in Hungary on June 12 as the first race of the season.

The 2023 European Truck Racing Championship, also known as the Goodyear European Truck Racing Championship for sponsorship reasons, will be a motor-racing championship using highly tuned tractor units. It is the 39th year of the championship. A nine-round season was announced on 7 December 2022, with the season beginning on 20 May at the Misano World Circuit Marco Simoncelli and ending on 1 October at the Circuito del Jarama. The season was shortened to eight rounds pre-season due to construction work at the Hungaroring.
