The 2021 PEI Tankard , the men's provincial curling championship for Prince Edward Island, was held from January 29 to 30 at the Maple Leaf Curling Club in O'Leary, Prince Edward Island. [1] The winning Eddie MacKenzie rink represented Prince Edward Island at the 2021 Tim Hortons Brier in Calgary, Alberta where they finished with a 1–7 record. The event was held in conjunction with the 2021 Prince Edward Island Scotties Tournament of Hearts, the provincial women's championship. [2]
Due to the COVID-19 pandemic in Canada, many teams could not commit to the quarantine process in order to compete at the national championship. Only two teams, Blair Jay from the Silver Fox Curling Club and Eddie MacKenzie from the Crapaud Community Curling Club and Montague Curling Club entered the event. Team MacKenzie won the best of five series in just three games. [3]

The 2011 Tim Hortons Brier, the Canadian men's national curling championship, was held March 5 until March 13, 2011 at the John Labatt Centre in London, Ontario. This event marked the 30th time that the province of Ontario has hosted the Brier since it began in 1927 in Toronto, Ontario and the first time a Bronze Medal Game was added to the playoffs.
The 2011 PEI Labatt Tankard was held February 3–8 at the Silver Fox Curling Club in Summerside, Prince Edward Island. The winning team of Eddie MacKenzie will represent Prince Edward Island at the 2011 Tim Hortons Brier in London, Ontario.
The 2007 PEI Labatt Tankard, the men's curling provincial championships for Prince Edward Island, was held during late January and early February. The open playdowns were held at the Crapaud Community Curling Club from January 26–29, while the final eight playdowns were held at the Cornwall Curling Club from February 6–11. The winner of the Tankard was Peter Gallant, who won his first Tankard as a skip. He and his rink represented PEI at the 2007 Tim Hortons Brier in Hamilton, Ontario, where they finished tied for eighth place at 4–7.

Anson James Carmody is a Canadian curler, from Summerside, Prince Edward Island. Until the 2016–2017 season, he threw third stones for the Eddie MacKenzie rink.

The winning Eddie MacKenzie rink from Charlottetown represented Prince Edward Island at the 2014 Tim Hortons Brier in Kamloops.
