Barbora Krejčíková and Kateřina Siniaková defeated Bethanie Mattek-Sands and Iga Świątek in the final, 6–4, 6–2 to win the women's doubles tennis title at the 2021 French Open. It was their second French Open title and third major title together. Krejčíková became the first woman to win both the singles and doubles tournaments at a major since Serena Williams at the 2016 Wimbledon Championships, and the first to do so at the French Open since Mary Pierce in 2000, making her the seventh woman to accomplish the sweep in French Open history. Mattek-Sands and Świątek reached the final after saving seven match points in their third round match against Hsieh Su-wei and Elise Mertens.

Květa Peschke and Demi Schuurs were the defending champions, but chose to compete with different partners. Peschke partnered Ellen Perez, and Schuurs partnered Nicole Melichar. Both teams lost to Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai; Perez and Peschke did so in the second round, whilst Melichar and Schuurs lost in the quarterfinals.
Samantha Stosur and Zhang Shuai defeated Coco Gauff and Caty McNally in the final, 6–3, 3–6, 6–3 to win the women's doubles title at the 2021 US Open. It was Stosur's fourth major title in women's doubles and eighth major overall, as well as Zhang's second major title; this was the team's second major title, following the 2019 Australian Open. This was the first major final for Gauff and for McNally.
