The 2022 African Junior Badminton Championships were the continental badminton championships to crown the best youth players and teams across Africa. The tournament was held at the National Badminton Centre in Rose Hill, Mauritius, from 12 to 17 December 2022. [1] [2] [3]
The 2022 African Junior Badminton Championships were held in two separate events. The mixed team event, officially All Africa U-19 Mixed Team Championships 2022, was a continental tournament to crown the best team in Africa. A total of 7 countries across Africa registered their players to compete at mixed team event. [4]
The individual event, officially All Africa U-19 Individual Championships 2022, was a continental tournament to crown the best players in Africa holding from 15 to 17 December. [5]
This tournament was held at the National Badminton Centre in Rose Hill with three courts.

Ranini Cundasawmy is a Mauritian Muay Thai, Savate and Kun Khmer fighter. She has won several national and world championships from the World Muay Thai Federation.
The 2014 Badminton Asia Junior Championships is an Asia continental junior championships to crown the best U-19 badminton players across Asia. It was held in Taipei, Taiwan from February 16 to February 23, 2014. This is the second time for this event has been held in Taipei after being hosted by the city in 2001. This year, over 250 top badminton players from more than 20 different countries participated in the competition.
Kate Jessica Kim Lee Foo Kune is a badminton player from Mauritius. She began playing badminton in Mauritius at age six. Her first major tournament participation was 2013 BWF World Championships in China, where she lost in the first round of women's singles to Sarah Walker of England. Foo Kune represented her country at the 2016 Summer Olympics in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. She was the flag bearer for Mauritius during the Parade of Nations.

Aurélie Marie Elisa Allet is a Mauritian badminton player. She was the mixed doubles gold medalists at the 2013 African Junior Championships and 2014 African Youth Games. She competed at the 2018 Commonwealth Games in Gold Coast, and in June 2018, Allet won her first senior international title at the Mauritius International tournament in the mixed doubles event with Julien Paul. Allet competed at the 2019 African Games, and won a bronze medal in the mixed doubles event.
