On June 5, 2022, two people were killed and 14 others were injured in a mass shooting in Chattanooga, Tennessee, United States. Another person was killed fleeing the shooting and two were injured by vehicles while fleeing. [3] [4]
Responding officers arrived at around 2:42 am at a reported shooting near a night club. They found multiple victims, immediately began first aid and secured the scene. [5] Victims sustained injuries from gunfire and from fleeing the scene, with fourteen struck by gunfire and three struck by vehicles while attempting to flee. Three were confirmed dead, two by gunshots and one by being hit by a vehicle, with fourteen injured. [6]
Chattanooga Police Chief Celeste Murphy said there were multiple shooters. [7] Officials believed that the shooting was targeted, and that there did not appear to be an active public safety threat related to the incident. [6]
On June 8, 2022, 28-year-old Garrian Dwayne King (born March 4, 1994)[ citation needed ] was arrested and charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm in connection with the shooting. According to the affidavit filed in U.S. District Court for Chattanooga, King was one of three men seen on security camera video exiting a stolen Chevrolet Suburban after 2 a.m. before the shooting. [1] On June 13, 2022, 36-year-old Alexis Boynton Lewis (born December 16, 1985) [8] was charged with criminal homicide, reckless endangerment, and possession of a firearm during the commission or attempt to commit a dangerous felony. The following day, 31-year-old Rodney Junior Harris Jr., who was shot seventeen times and also run over by a car during the incident, [9] was charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon. [2] Walking using a cane and having his right arm in a brace, he was sentenced in November, 2023 to five years in federal prison. [9] In 2023, Garrian King was sentenced to 110 months in prison plus 3 years of supervised release. [10]
Mayor Tim Kelly called on Congress to address gun violence. He said, "That doesn't mean taking guns away from responsible gun owners, but it does mean mandatory background checks and prohibiting high-capacity magazines." [7]

On February 25, 2016, three people were killed and fourteen others injured in a series of shootings in Newton and Hesston, Kansas, including in and outside an Excel Industries building. The shooter, identified as Excel employee Cedric Larry Ford, was then killed by a responding police officer.
On March 9, 2016, six people were killed and three others injured in a mass shooting at a suburban house in Wilkinsburg, Pennsylvania, United States, near Pittsburgh. One of the victims was a pregnant woman, whose unborn baby was added to the number of fatalities on the day after the shooting. Two men, Cheron Shelton and Robert Thomas, were charged in connection with the shooting, but charges against Thomas were later dropped and Shelton was acquitted at trial in 2020.
Around 2:30 am on July 1, 2017, a shootout occurred at the Power Ultra Lounge nightclub in downtown Little Rock, Arkansas, United States. Twenty-eight people were injured and one hospitalized.
On April 22, 2018, a mass shooting occurred at a Waffle House restaurant in the Antioch neighborhood of Nashville, Tennessee, United States, when 29-year-old Travis Jeffrey Reinking fatally shot four people and injured two others with an AR-15 style rifle. Another two people were injured by broken glass. Reinking was rushed by an unarmed customer, James Shaw Jr., who wrestled the rifle away and stopped the shooting spree. Reinking was captured on April 23, ending a 34-hour manhunt.
Nearly 1,000 people were at the Art All Night event located at Roebling Wire Works Building, in Trenton, New Jersey on June 17, 2018, when multiple people began to shoot at one another, with one individual killed and 22 injured.

Prior, he garnered a regional following with the release of his 2018 singles "10 Percent" and "Crayola", and signed with Birdman's Cash Money Records, an imprint of Republic Records in August of that year.

Alexander Hernandez is an American serial killer who murdered five people during a series of drive-by shootings in the Los Angeles Metropolitan area of California between March and August 2014. He targeted random people and dogs, murdering five people, injuring 11 others, and killing two dogs. He was later convicted of the crimes and sentenced to life imprisonment without the possibility of parole.
On November 19–20, 2022, an anti-LGBTQ–motivated mass shooting occurred at Club Q, a gay bar in Colorado Springs, Colorado, United States. Five people were murdered, and twenty-five others were injured, nineteen of them by gunfire. The shooter, 22-year-old Anderson Lee Aldrich, was also injured while being restrained, and was taken to a local hospital. Aldrich was then charged and remanded in custody. On June 26, 2023, Aldrich pled guilty to the shooting and state level charges and was officially sentenced to a total of five consecutive life terms plus an additional consecutive 2,211 years, all without the possibility of parole. On January 16, 2024, Aldrich was additionally charged with 50 federal hate crimes in connection with the shooting. On June 18, 2024, Aldrich pleaded guilty to the federal charges and was sentenced to 55 concurrent life sentences without parole, plus a consecutive 190 years.
Ricky Hampton, known professionally as Finesse2tymes, is an American rapper from Memphis, Tennessee. He is best known for his 2022 single "Back End," which entered the Billboard Hot 100. He is noted for his "thunderous voice" and motivational statements in his songs. He signed with Atlantic Records to release his debut commercial mixtape, 90 Days in December of that year. He was signed in a joint venture with Moneybagg Yo's label Bread Gang and J. Prince's Mob Ties Records, although he parted ways with all three labels the following year. He released his debut studio album Art of War on November 22, 2024.

The Bandidos partake in transporting and distributing cocaine and marijuana, and the production, transportation and distribution of methamphetamine. Active primarily in the Northwestern, Southeastern, Southwestern and the West Central regions, there are an estimated 800 to 1,000 Bandidos members and 93 chapters in 16 U.S. states.
On the evening of 24 December 2022, one person was killed and five others were injured in a mass shooting at the Lighthouse pub in Wallasey, Merseyside, England. The perpetrator, 22-year-old Connor Chapman, was sentenced to life imprisonment for murder; it is not believed that the victim was targeted.
