This years awards were dedicated to the late Sheila Benson: "an esteemed Society member and the warmest, most gracious of colleagues. As film critic for the Los Angeles Times and other publications, she wrote about movies with infectious joy and enviable skill."

<i>All the Beauty and the Bloodshed</i> 2022 American film

All the Beauty and the Bloodshed is a 2022 American biographical documentary film about photographer, artist, and activist Nan Goldin. Interspersed throughout the film is Goldin's most recent work in fighting the Sackler family for their role in causing the opioid epidemic. The film is produced, co-edited and directed by Laura Poitras. Poitras said, "Nan's art and vision has inspired my work for years, and has influenced generations of filmmakers."

The 88th New York Film Critics Circle Awards, honoring the best in film for 2022, were announced on December 2, 2022.

The 94th National Board of Review Awards, honoring the best in film for 2022, were announced on December 8, 2022.

The 48th Los Angeles Film Critics Association Awards, given by the Los Angeles Film Critics Association (LAFCA), honored the best in film for 2022. Both Everything Everywhere All at Once and Tár received the award for Best Film, being the fourth time the association gave the award to two films in the same year. For the first time in three years, the organization held an in-person awards event where all the winners were honored on January 14, 2023.

The 43rd Boston Society of Film Critics Awards, honoring the best in filmmaking in 2022, were given on December 11, 2022.

The 43rd London Film Critics' Circle Awards honoured the best in film of 2022, as chosen by the London Film Critics' Circle. All films released in a UK cinema or to premiere via streaming service between February 2022 and February 2023 were all eligible to be nominated. The ceremony was held on 5 February 2023 at The May Fair Hotel in London. The nominations were announced on 21 December 2022 by actors Ellie Bamber and Fionn O'Shea, while British comedian and actor Anna Leong Brophy hosted the ceremony. The Banshees of Inisherin received the most nominations with nine, followed by Aftersun with eight.

The 21st San Francisco Bay Area Film Critics Circle Awards, honoring the best in film for 2022, were given on January 9, 2023. The nominations were announced on January 6, 2023, with The Banshees of Inisherin leading the nominations with eleven. The film won Best Picture, though Tár received the most awards, with four wins, including Best Director and Best Actress.

The 26th Toronto Film Critics Association Awards, honouring the best films released in 2022, were announced on January 8, 2023.
