The 2022 Southeastern Conference Softball Tournament, played for the 2022 Southeastern Conference softball season, was the postseason softball tournament that determined the 2022 champion of the Southeastern Conference. It was held at Katie Seashole Pressly Softball Stadium on the campus of the University of Florida in Gainesville, Florida, from May 10–14, 2022. As the tournament winner, Arkansas earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2022 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The championship game, as well as the semifinals, were broadcast on ESPN2, while all other tournament games were televised on the SEC Network. [3] [4]
All thirteen teams will be seeded based on conference winning percentage. They then will play a single-elimination tournament, with the top four seeds receiving a single bye, and the bottom two playing the first-round game on May 10.

The Southeastern Conference (SEC) is an American college athletic conference whose member institutions are located primarily in the South Central and Southeastern United States. Its fourteen members include the flagship public universities of ten states, three additional public land-grant universities, and one private research university. The conference is headquartered in Birmingham, Alabama. The SEC participates in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division I in sports competitions; for football it is part of the Football Bowl Subdivision (FBS), formerly known as Division I-A.
The Florida Gators are the intercollegiate athletic teams that represent the University of Florida, located in Gainesville. The University of Florida, its athletic program, its alumni and its sports fans are often collectively referred to as the "Gator Nation." The Gators compete in the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) and the Southeastern Conference (SEC) and are consistently ranked among the top college sports programs in the United States. The University of Florida currently fields teams in nine men's sports and twelve women's sports.

As the tournament winner, the University of Alabama. earned the Southeastern Conference's automatic bid to the 2021 NCAA Division I softball tournament. The championship game, as well as the semifinals, were broadcast on ESPN2, while all other tournament games were televised on the SEC Network.
The 2021 Alabama Crimson Tide softball team was an American college softball team that represented the University of Alabama during the 2021 NCAA Division I softball season. The Crimson Tide were led by Patrick Murphy in his twenty-second season, and played their home games at Rhoads Stadium. They competed in the Southeastern Conference, where they finished the season with a 52–9 record and an 18-6 conference record.

The 2023 Florida Gators baseball team represents the University of Florida in the sport of baseball during the 2023 college baseball season. Florida competes in the Eastern Division of the Southeastern Conference (SEC). Home games will be played at Condron Ballpark on the university's Gainesville, Florida, campus, in the third season at the ballpark. The team is coached by Kevin O'Sullivan in his sixteenth season as Florida's head coach. The Gators enter the season looking to return to the College World Series after a home regional final loss in the 2022 NCAA tournament.
The 2023 SEC softball season began play Thursday, February 9, and conference play began on Friday, March 10. Tennessee clinched the regular season conference championship on May 6. Tennessee also won the 2023 Southeastern Conference softball tournament which took place from May 9–13 at Bogle Park in Fayetteville, Arkansas. Vanderbilt University is the only full member of the Southeastern Conference to not sponsor a softball program. Of the 13 teams in the SEC, 12 played in the NCAA tournament. Of the top 16 seeds hosting Regionals, five are from the SEC. Three of the five win their Regionals, being the only SEC teams to win Regionals. Two of the three win their Super Regionals and advance to the 2023 Women's College World Series (WCWS).

The 2023 Tennessee Lady Volunteers softball team is an American softball team, representing the University of Tennessee during the 2023 Southeastern Conference softball season and the 2023 NCAA Division I softball season. The team plays their home games at Sherri Parker Lee Stadium in Knoxville, Tennessee, and is coached by Karen Weekly in her 21st season. The team won the Southeastern Conference regular season and tournament, which earned them an automatic bid to the NCAA Division I tournament.
The 2023 Georgia Bulldogs baseball team represented the University of Georgia in the 2023 NCAA Division I baseball season. The Bulldogs played their home games for the 67th season at Foley Field.
