The 37th World Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Anaheim, California, United States, from 16-24 August 2003.
The Gymnasiade, or World Gymnasiade, or World School Sport Games, or ISF World School Sport Games is an international multi-sport event which is organised by the International School Sport Federation (ISF). It is the largest event among many other sport events held by the ISF.

The 2011 South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships were held in Santiago, Chile, August 4–8, 2011. The competition was organized by the Chilean Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation. This was the 10th edition of the South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships for senior gymnasts.

The 2016 Pan American Aerobic Gymnastics Championships were held in Lima, Peru, November 24–27, 2016. The competition was organized by the Peruvian Gymnastics Federation, and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
The 2017 South American Aerobic Gymnastics Championships were held in Lima, Peru, August 23–25, 2017. The competition was organized by the Peruvian Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.

The 2018 Pan American Gymnastics Championships was held in Lima, Peru, in September, 2018. Three gymnastics disciplines were contested: artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics and trampoline. The event was organized by the Peruvian Gymnastics Federation under the supervision of the Pan American Gymnastics Union and the International Gymnastics Federation, and served as qualification for the 2019 Pan American Games, which will also be held in Lima, Peru.
The 2018 South American Aerobic Gymnastics Championships were held in Lima, Peru, from July 10 to 15, 2018. The competition was organized by the Peruvian Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
The 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships were held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 10 September to 16 September 2018 at Arena Armeec. The top three countries in the group all-around, Russia, Italy, and Bulgaria won the first three spots for the 2020 Olympic Games. Russia was the most successful nation of the competition with seven of the nine gold medals, and Bulgaria and Italy each won a title.

The 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held in Liverpool, United Kingdom at the Liverpool Arena, from October 26 - November 6. The United Kingdom previously hosted this event in 1993 (Birmingham), 2009 (London) and 2015 (Glasgow). Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, athletes representing the Russian Federation and Belarus were banned from competing at these championships.
The 2021 South American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships were held in Cali, Colombia, November 4–7, 2021. The competition was organized by the Colombian Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
The 2022 South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Lima, Peru, from August 17 to 21, 2022. The competition was approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
