The 2022 South American Aerobic Gymnastics Championships were held in Lima, Peru, from August 24 to 28, 2022. [1] The competition was organized by the Peruvian Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation. [2] [3] [4]

The 2018 Rhythmic Gymnastics World Championships were held in Sofia, Bulgaria, from 10 September to 16 September 2018 at Arena Armeec. The top three countries in the group all-around, Russia, Italy, and Bulgaria won the first three spots for the 2020 Olympic Games. Russia was the most successful nation of the competition with seven of the nine gold medals, and Bulgaria and Italy each won a title.

The 2022 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships will be held in Liverpool, United Kingdom at the Liverpool Arena, from October 26 - November 6. The United Kingdom previously hosted this event in 1993 (Birmingham), 2009 (London) and 2015 (Glasgow). Due to the Russian invasion of Ukraine, athletes representing the Russian Federation and Belarus were banned from competing at these championships.

The 2021 South American Rhythmic Gymnastics Championships were held in Cali, Colombia, November 4–7, 2021. The competition was organized by the Colombian Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.

The 2022 South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Lima, Peru, from August 17 to 21, 2022. The competition was approved by the International Gymnastics Federation.
