2024 South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships

The 2024 South American Artistic Gymnastics Championships was held in Aracaju, Brazil, from October 18 to 20, 2024. [1] [2] The competition was organized by the Brazilian Gymnastics Federation and approved by the International Gymnastics Federation. [3]

She is also a seven-time medalist on the FIG World Cup circuit. She is the 2011 Pan American Games and 2014 and 2018 Pan American Championships team bronze medalist and the 2010, 2014, and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games team gold medalist.

She previously represented Russia at the 2016 Summer Olympics, winning a silver medal in the team competition. Rebeca Rodrigues de Andrade is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. In the all-around, she is the 2022 World champion, a two-time Olympic silver medalist, the 2023 World silver medalist, and the 2021 Pan American champion. On vault, she is the 2020 Olympic gold medalist, the 2024 Olympic silver medalist, a two-time World Champion, and the 2023 Pan American Games champion. Lorrane dos Santos Oliveira is a Brazilian artistic gymnast. She was a member of the Brazilian teams that won historic medals at the 2024 Summer Olympics and the 2023 World Championships. She also won team bronze medals at the 2015 and 2019 Pan American Games. Individually, she is the 2021 Pan American uneven bars champion and all-around bronze medalist. She also represented Brazil at the 2016 Summer Olympics.

Manrique Larduet Bicet is a Cuban artistic gymnast. At the 2015 World Championships, he won the silver medal in the all-around- becoming Cuba's first World all-around medalist. He is also the 2015 World horizontal bar bronze medalist, and he represented Cuba at the 2016 Summer Olympics. He is the 2015 Pan American Games vault champion and all-around silver medalist. He is the 2018 Pan American all-around champion and a two-time Pan American champion on the parallel bars At the 2014 Pan American Sports Festival he won medals in every event, including the all-around gold. He withdrew from the 2020 Summer Olympics due to a dispute with the Cuban Gymnastics Federation, and he now lives and trains in Italy.

Caio Campos Souza is a Brazilian male artistic gymnast and part of the national team. He participated at the 2015 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships in Glasgow. He competed at the 2020 Summer Olympics. He is the first Brazilian gymnast to get medals at every apparatus at the FIG World Cups.

The Pan American Gymnastics Union organizes Pan American Gymnastics Championships in different disciplines of gymnastics: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, acrobatic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, as well as aerobic gymnastics. The Pan American Gymnastics Championships are considered by the International Gymnastics Federation to be the official continental championships for the Americas. Pan American Championships have also been organized for the sport of aesthetic group gymnastics.

The South American Gymnastics Confederation (CONSUGI) organizes South American Gymnastics Championships in different disciplines of gymnastics: men's and women's artistic gymnastics, rhythmic gymnastics, trampoline and tumbling, as well as aerobic gymnastics.

Mélanie Johanna de Jesus dos Santos is a French artistic gymnast. She was a member of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2023 World Championships. She is the 2019 European all-around champion, a two time European champion on the floor exercise, and the 2021 European champion on the balance beam. She is also the 2018 European silver medalist with the French team, the 2019 European silver medalist on the balance beam, and the 2017 European bronze medalist in the all-around. She represented France at the 2020 Summer Olympics where she placed sixth with the team and on the uneven bars and eleventh in the all-around. She is the 2017, 2018, 2019 and 2024 French all-around champion, and she won the Longines Prize for Elegance in 2019.

Samir Aït Saïd is a French artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 World bronze medalist and the 2013 European champion on the still rings. Yeo Seo-jeong is a South Korean artistic gymnast. She is the 2020 Olympic bronze medalist, the 2023 World bronze medalist, the 2018 Asian Games champion, and the 2022 Asian champion on vault. She is the first South Korean female gymnast to win an Olympic medal and also the first to win a World Championships medal.

Audrys Nin Reyes is a Dominican artistic gymnast. He is the 2019 and 2023 Pan American Games vault champion. He was the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at the Pan American Games. He was also the first Dominican gymnast to win a gold medal at an FIG World Cup event when he won the vault title at the 2017 Osijek World Challenge Cup. He is the 2017 Pan American vault and horizontal bar champion and the 2017 Universiade vault champion. He is also the 2018 and 2023 Central American and Caribbean Games vault champion. He has qualified to represent the Dominican Republic at the 2024 Summer Olympics, the first male gymnast from his country to do so.

<span class="mw-page-title-main">Julia Soares</span> Brazilian artistic gymnast

Julia das Neves Botega Soares is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the Brazilian national gymnastics team. Soares represented her country at the 2019 Junior World Championships, where she was a finalist on the balance beam. She made her international senior debut at the 2021 Pan American Championships where she helped Brazil win the team gold, and also took an individual bronze medal on the balance beam. She debuted a new skill, a candle mount with a half twist on the balance beam, which was named after her in the Code of Points. She was part of the silver medal-winning Brazilian team at the 2023 World Championships, and the of the bronze medal-winning team at the 2024 Paris Olympics.

The Brazilian Gymnastics Federation is the national governing body for gymnastics in Brazil. The federation was founded on November 25, 1978.

Natalia Isabel Escalera Cárdenas is a Mexican artistic gymnast. She is the 2021 Pan American champion and the 2023 Pan American Games bronze medalist on the vault. She represented Mexico at the 2024 Summer Olympics.

Bernardo Actos Miranda is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the national team. He participated in the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.

Patrick Sampaio Correa is a Brazilian artistic gymnast and a member of the national team. He participated in the 2023 World Artistic Gymnastics Championships.
