The year 2022 was the eleventh year in the history of Glory, an international kickboxing promotion.
Glory 80 and Glory 80 Studio were available exclusively through the Glory Fights Pay-per-view platform. Later events were broadcast on various streaming services and television channels around the world and also streamed on the Glory Fights Pay-per-view platform. [1] [2]

Glory 80 was a kickboxing event held by Glory on March 19, 2022, at the Trixxo Arena in Hasselt, Belgium.
A Glory Light Heavyweight Championship bout between reigning champion Artem Vakhitov and title challenger Luis Tavares was booked as the event headliner. [3] Tavares withdrew from the bout a week before it was supposed to take place and was replaced by Tarik Khbabez, who faced Vakhitov in a catchweight bout. [4] The bout was cancelled on March 12, as Vakhitov himself withdrew. [5]
A Glory Women's Super Bantamweight Championship between the champion Tiffany van Soest and title challenger Manazo Kobayashi was announced for the event. RISE Women's Flyweight champion Kobayashi joined as part of the organizations cross-promotion agreement. [6]
Former K-1 and It's Showtime Heavyweight champion Badr Hari was booked to rematch Arkadiusz Wrzosek. The two previously met at Glory 78, with Wrzosek winning by knockout. [7]
A heavyweight bout between Levi Rigters and two-time Glory heavyweight title challenger Jamal Ben Saddik was scheduled for the main card. [8]
A lightweight bout between Guerric Billet and promotional newcomer Nordin Ben Moh was scheduled for the event. [9]
The #1 ranked Glory middleweight Ertuğrul Bayrak was booked to face the #4 ranked Serkan Ozcaglayan. [10]
During Hari vs. Wrzosek Legia Warszawa Ultras started a riot and the rest of the event was cancelled over security concerns. [11]

A Glory Light Heavyweight Championship bout for the vacant title between Luis Tavares and Sergej Maslobojev was originally booked for Glory 81. However, the bout was scrapped due to Tavares testing positive for an unspecified banned substance at Glory Rivals 1. [21]

The main event is scheduled to be a bout between Badr Hari and former K-1 champion Alistair Overeem in a trilogy bout. [27]
Antonio Plazibat was expected to face the winner of Jamal Ben Saddik and Benjamin Adegbuyi for the interim Glory Heavyweight Championship. [28] On September 1, Glory confirmed that the bout would not take place, as the fighters refused to face each other. [29]
A Glory Women's Super Bantamweight Championship between the champion Tiffany van Soest and title challenger Sarah Moussaddak was booked for the event. [30]
A Glory Light Heavyweight Championship bout for the vacant title between Sergej Maslobojev and former 2015 SUPERKOMBAT World Grand Prix Heavyweight Tournament Winner Tarik Khbabez took place at the event. Rico Verhoeven is a Dutch professional kickboxer, former professional boxer and mixed martial artist who currently competes in the heavyweight division of GLORY, where he is the reigning Glory Heavyweight Champion. A professional since 2004, he also competed in the K-1, It's Showtime and SUPERKOMBAT promotions. He is currently ranked the number one heavyweight in the world by Combat Press. Verhoeven has been continually ranked as the number one heavyweight kickboxer in the world by Combat Press since September 2014, when the rankings were first established.
Glory is an international promotion kickboxing promotion founded in 2012. It is owned by Pierre Andurand, Yao Capital, Scott Rudmann and other investors.
Sergej Maslobojev, nicknamed 'Kuvalda' ('Sledgehammer'), is a Lithuanian mixed martial artist, boxer and kickboxer, currently signed with GLORY, where he is the former Glory Light Heavyweight champion. He is ranked as the third best light heavyweight in the world by Combat Press as of September 2022, and third best by Beyond Kickboxing as of October 2022.
Jamal Ben Saddik is a Belgian-Moroccan professional kickboxer. He is a former two-time Glory Heavyweight Championship challenger and 2018 Glory Heavyweight Grand Prix tournament winner.
Ibrahim El Bouni is a Dutch-Moroccan kickboxer who currently fights for Glory. El Bouni has formerly competed for ONE Championship, SUPERKOMBAT and K-1.
Jahfarr Wilnis is a Dutch-Surinamese kickboxer, currently competing in the heavyweight division of Glory. He is the 2015 Kunlun Fight Super Heavyweight Tournament winner and the former Enfusion Heavyweight World Champion.
Luis Tavares is a Dutch-Cape Verdean kickboxer. He is the former Enfusion Heavyweight and Super Heavyweight champion.
Antonio Plazibat is a Croatian professional kickboxer, who currently competes in the Heavyweight division of Glory. Plazibat was the 2014 FFC Futures Light Heavyweight tournament winner, the 2017 K-1 WGP Heavyweight World Grand Prix winner and a former K-1 Heavyweight Champion.
Endy Semeleer is a Curaçaoan-Dutch kickboxer who competes in the welterweight division of Glory, where he is the former welterweight champion. Semeleer is the former three-weight Enfusion champion, having held titles at -72.5kg,-75kg and -77kg. He is ranked as the fifth best welterweight in the world by Combat Press as of September 2022, and the fourth best by Beyond Kickboxing as of October 2022. Semeleer has been continually ranked in the Combat Press top ten since January 2018.
