The 30th Asian Baseball Championship was an international professional baseball competition for Asian men's national teams. It was held in Taiwan (Taipei, New Taipei, and Taichung). It began on 3 December 2023 and ended on 10 December 2023. Japan won the championship, its 20th title.
In February 2023, Pakistan and Palestine, as winners and finalists of the 2023 West Asia Baseball Cup title, qualified for the Asian Baseball Championship. [1] In May 2023, the Philippines, Hong Kong and Thailand, as winners and finalists of the 2023 East Asia Baseball Cup title, also qualified for the Championship. [2]
A total of 8 teams entered the tournament, with. The top two finishers of each group will compete in the super round on 8 and 9 December. At the end of the super round, the first and second-placed teams will play for the title and the third and fourth-placed teams will play for Bronze Medal. The Bronze Medal winner, along with the two finalists will qualify for the V WBSC U-23 Baseball World Cup, joining hosts China. [3] [4]

Taiwan defeated South Korea in the opening game of the tournament at the newly opened Taipei Dome. Pitcher Hsu Ruo-Shi struck out 10 batters in 7 scoreless innings. [5]

The International Baseball Federation (IBAF) is the former worldwide governing body of baseball. It has since been superseded by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), and continues to exist as the WBSC's baseball division. Between 1944 and 1975, it was known by its Spanish-language name, as the Federación Internacional de Béisbol Amateur, or FIBA.
The Chinese Taipei baseball team is the national men's baseball team of the Republic of China (Taiwan). It is governed by the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association. The team is ranked fourth in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The team is usually made up of professionals from Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League, Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, and Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball from the United States.
The WBSC Asia, formerly known as, Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA) is the governing body of the sport of baseball and softball in Asia. The federation is governed by the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
The Pakistan national baseball team is the national team representing Pakistan in international baseball tournaments and competitions. The team is controlled and governed by the Pakistan Federation Baseball, which is represented in the Baseball Federation of Asia (BFA), having been ranked #5 in Asia, just behind China. They are ranked as the top and one of the most successful baseball teams in South Asia, winning the first SAARC Baseball Championship 8–2 against Sri Lanka in 2011. As of 2023, Pakistan is currently ranked 38th in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation.
The U-12 Baseball World Cup is the under-12 baseball world championship sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC) and its predecessor the International Baseball Federation (IBAF), and is the most elite and highest level of competition in its age category. The U-12 Baseball World Championship is scheduled to be held every two years and launched in 2011 in Taipei, Taiwan as the "12U Baseball World Championship".
The U-23 Baseball World Cup is a biennial, professional-level, National Team, baseball world championship of the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), replacing Baseball World Cup.
The WBSC Premier12 is the international baseball tournament organized by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC), featuring the 12 highest-ranked national baseball teams in the world. The first tournament was held by Taiwan and Japan in November 2015. The second tournament, 2019 WBSC Premier12, was held in November 2019, and served as a qualifier for two teams for baseball at the 2020 Summer Olympics.
The Asian Baseball Cup is a baseball tournament organized by WBSC Asia. It is a second-level tournament to the Asian Baseball Championship. In 2012, the Asian Baseball Cup was divided into two separate divisions, East and West, alternatively called the East Asian Baseball Cup and West Asian Baseball Cup. From 2016, the Asian Baseball Cup tournaments are held biannually.

It is organized by (WBSC). The tournament is held biennially, starting in 2019. The current champion is Chinese Taipei, who won the inaugural and the second competition as hosts.

The U-15 Women Softball Asia Cup is the main championship tournament between national junior women's softball teams in Asia, governed by the Softball Confederation of Asia. The inaugural event was held in Nantou County, Taiwan. The tournament also serves as qualification to WBSC's U-15 Women's Softball World Cup for Asia.
