The 2024 U-23 Baseball World Cup, officially V U-23 Baseball World Cup, is the fifth edition of the U-23 Baseball World Cup tournament, sixth since the tournament's inception in 2014 as the 21U Baseball World Cup. The tournament will be held at Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Culture Center in Shaoxing, China. [1]

The tournament will be held at Shaoxing Baseball and Softball Sports Culture Center Field No.1 and No.2. The field No.1 will host the Super Round, the Bronze Medal Game and the Championship Game while the field No.2 will host the Placement Round.

The Chinese Taipei national baseball team is the national men's baseball team of Taiwan. It is governed by the Chinese Taipei Baseball Association. The team is ranked fourth in the world by the World Baseball Softball Confederation. The team is usually made up of professionals from Taiwan's Chinese Professional Baseball League, Japan's Nippon Professional Baseball, and Major League Baseball and Minor League Baseball from the United States.

The Women's Baseball World Cup is an international tournament in which national women's baseball teams from around the world compete. Through its 2012 edition, it was sanctioned by the International Baseball Federation; following the 2013 merger of the IBAF with the International Softball Federation, subsequent tournaments are sanctioned by the World Baseball Softball Confederation (WBSC). In the nine times it has been held, the tournament has been won twice by the United States and seven consecutive times by Japan in 2008, 2010, 2012, 2014, 2016, 2018 and 2024.

This article lists the performances of each of the 23 national teams which have made at least one appearance in the World Baseball Classic. The 2006 and 2009 tournaments, each had the same 16–team field, chosen by invitation. Beginning with the 2013 tournament, the four last-place teams from the previous tournament's first round each contested a qualifying round against three additional teams. The outcome of this process has been that 14 of the original 16 teams have continued to appear in every tournament. In 2013, Canada and Chinese Taipei re-qualified while Panama and South Africa were respectively replaced by Brazil and Spain. In 2017, Australia and Mexico re-qualified while Brazil and Spain were respectively replaced by Colombia and Israel.

Baseball at the 2019 Pan American Games was held from July 27 to August 4. The venue for the competition was the baseball stadium located at the Villa María del Triunfo cluster. The tournament was part of the 2019 edition of the Pan American Games, hosted by Lima, Peru.

The 2020 U-23 Baseball World Cup, officially III U-23 Baseball World Cup, is the third edition of the U-23 Baseball World Cup tournament, fourth since the tournament's inception in 2014 as the 21U Baseball World Cup. Originally scheduled to take place in 2020, the event was postponed to 2021 as a result of the COVID-19 pandemic. The tournament is held from September 23 to October 2, in Ciudad Obregón and Hermosillo, Mexico, with 12 teams participating.

The 2022 U-23 Baseball World Cup, officially IV U-23 Baseball World Cup, is the fourth edition of the U-23 Baseball World Cup tournament. It was held in Taipei, Taichung, and Yunlin in Taiwan. Players born between 1999 and 2004 are eligible to play the tournament.

The 2024 Women's Softball World Cup was the 18th Women's Softball World Cup, an international softball tournament taking place in Balbriggan, Ireland; Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy and Valencia, Spain. The group stage took place from 11–26 July 2023, held as three separate groups across three nations. The finals took place in Buttrio and Castions di Strada, Italy from 15–20 July 2024. This was the first WBSC event to be held in two stages. It was the first time Ireland, Italy and Spain had hosted a major softball tournament. It also was the first time more than one nation hosted the tournament.

The 2024 Women's Baseball World Cup was the 9th Women's Baseball World Cup, an international baseball tournament that was held in Thunder Bay, Canada and Miyoshi, Japan. The group stage took place from 8 to 13 August 2023 as two separate tournaments in two separate locations. The finals took place in Thunder Bay, Canada in 2024. This was the first Women's Baseball World Cup event that held in two stages. It was the third time Canada has hosted the tournament. It was also the first time more than one nation has hosted the tournament. Japan were the defending champions and successfully defend the title.

Group B of the 2024 Women's Softball World Cup will take place from 18 to 22 July 2023 in Valencia, Spain. The group consists of host nation Spain, China, Cuba, Puerto Rico, Netherlands and South Africa.

Group B of the 2024 Women's Baseball World Cup will take place from 13 to 18 September 2023 in Miyoshi, Japan. The group consists of host nation Japan, Chinese Taipei, Venezuela, Cuba, Puerto Rico and France.
