The 2023 Daemen Wildcats men's volleyball team represented Daemen University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Wildcats, led by fourth year head coach Don Gleason, [1] played their home games at Charles L. & Gloria B. Lumsden Gymnasium. The Wildcats competed as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference [2] and were picked to finish fourth in the NEC. [3]

The Northeast Conference (NEC) is a collegiate athletic conference whose schools are members of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Teams in the NEC compete in Division I for all sports; football competes in the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS). Participating schools are located principally in the Northeastern United States, from which the conference derives its name.
The NCAA men's volleyball tournament, officially titled the NCAA national collegiate men's volleyball championship, is an annual competition that determines the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) championship in American college men's volleyball. It had been the only NCAA championship in the sport from 1970 until 2012, when the NCAA launched a Division III championship.
The St. Francis Brooklyn Terriers were the 21 teams that represented St. Francis College in athletics. The Terriers were members of NCAA Division I and participated in the Northeast Conference (NEC) except in two sports that the NEC does not sponsor—men's and women's water polo. The water polo teams respectively competed in the Collegiate Water Polo Association and the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference.
The Daemen Wildcats represent Daemen University in intercollegiate athletics. Daemen is a member of the East Coast Conference (ECC), competing at the Division II level of the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA). Men's sports include basketball, cross country, golf, indoor track and outdoor track, soccer, tennis, and volleyball. Women's sports include basketball, bowling, cross country, indoor and outdoor track, soccer, tennis, triathlon, and volleyball. The college's official colors are royal blue, black, white, and grey.
The 2022 LIU Sharks men's volleyball team, the first ever LIU men's volleyball team, represented Long Island University Brooklyn in the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Sharks, led by first year head coach Shawn Patchell, played their home games at Steinberg Wellness Center. The Sharks competed as an Independent. However the Sharks will join the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference in 2023. After a slow start LIU won 9 of their final 10 games to finish a respectable 13–15.
The 2022 Grand Canyon Antelopes men's volleyball team represented Grand Canyon University in the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The 'Lopes, led by seventh year head coach Matt Werle, played their home games at GCU Arena. The 'Lopes were members of the MPSF and were picked to finish fourth in the MPSF preseason poll. The Lopes finished fourth in the MPSF but fell in the 1st Round of the MPSF Tournament to Stanford.
The 2022 UC Santa Barbara Gauchos men's volleyball team represented University of California, Santa Barbara in the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Gauchos, led by fourteenth year head coach Rick McLaughlin, split their home games between Robertson Gymnasium and The Thunderdome. The Gauchos competed as members of the Big West Conference and were picked as one of two teams to finish fourth in the Big West preseason poll.
The 2022 Independent Volleyball Association Tournament was a men's volleyball tournament held by select Independent Universities during the 2022 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. It was held April 22 through April 23, 2022 at Queens University of Charlotte's Curry Arena at the Levine Center. The winner was eligible for one of the two wildcard spots in the 2022 NCAA Volleyball Tournament and was granted the title of Independent Volleyball Association Champion.
The 2023 LIU Sharks men's volleyball team, the second LIU men's volleyball team, represented Long Island University Brooklyn in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Sharks, led by first year head coach Kai Dugquem, played their home games at Steinberg Wellness Center. The Sharks competed as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference. After winning most of their games at the end of last season, the Sharks were picked to finish third in the NEC.
The 2023 Merrimack Warriors men's volleyball team, the first ever Merrimack men's volleyball team, represents Merrimack College in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Warriors, led by first year head coach Ray Lewis, play their home games at Hammel Court. The Warriors play in the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference. They were picked to finish seventh in the conference preseason poll.
The 2023 Concordia Eagles men's volleyball team represented Concordia University Irvine in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Eagles, led by second year head coach Riley Salmon, played their home games at CU Arena. The Eagles were members of the MPSF and were picked to finish seventh in the MPSF preseason poll.
The 2023 Pepperdine Waves men's volleyball team represented Pepperdine University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Waves, led by first year head coach Jonathan Winder, played their home games at Firestone Fieldhouse. The Waves were members of the MPSF and were picked to finish second in the preseason poll.
The 2023 D'Youville Saints men's volleyball team represented D'Youville University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Saints were led by fourth year head coach Chris Krueger and played their home games at College Center Gymnasium. The Saints competed as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference and were picked to finish eighth in the NEC.
The 2023 Fairleigh Dickinson Knights men's volleyball team, the second Fairleigh Dickinson men's volleyball team, represents Fairleigh Dickinson University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Knights, led by second year head coach Karl France, play their home games at Rothman Center. The Knights compete as a member of the newly created Northeast Conference men's volleyball conference. The Knights were picked to finish sixth in the NEC pre-season poll.
The 2023 Sacred Heart Pioneers men's volleyball team represented Sacred Heart University in the 2023 NCAA Division I & II men's volleyball season. The Pioneers, led by first year head coach Adam Niemczynowicz, played their home games at William H. Pitt Center.
