The draw was held on 29 October 2019 [1] and the seeding was based on the FIBA Men's World Ranking. [2]

The four qualified teams were joined by the eight teams that were eliminated from the EuroBasket 2022 qualifiers.
The draw was made on 28 April 2021. Teams that advanced from the previous round were assigned to Pot 3, while teams eliminated from EuroBasket 2022 qualifiers were assigned to Pots 1 or 2, according to FIBA rankings. [5] [6]

Europe is often divided into regions and subregions based on geographical, cultural or historical factors. Since there is no universal agreement on Europe's regional composition, the placement of individual countries may vary based on criteria being used. For instance, the Balkans is a distinct geographical region within Europe, but individual countries may alternatively be grouped into South-eastern Europe or Southern Europe.
As a member of FIFA and UEFA, the Montenegro national football team has been playing official matches since March 2007.
