The 2023 French Road Cycling Cup was the 32nd edition of the French Road Cycling Cup. The cup consisted of the same 17 events as the prior year.
The defending champions from the previous season were Julien Simon, who won the individual classification, Luca Mozzato who won the young rider classification, and Team TotalEnergies who won the teams classification.
All competing riders are eligible for the individual general classification, but only those younger than 25 on 1 January 2022 are eligible for the young rider classification. Additionally, only French teams are eligible for the teams classification.

Robert Gesink is a Dutch professional cyclist, who rides for UCI WorldTeam Visma–Lease a Bike. His major victories include the 2012 Tour of California, the 2011 Tour of Oman and the 2010 Grand Prix Cycliste de Montréal. Gesink also won the Giro dell'Emilia twice and offered some good performances on Grand Tours and one-week stage races, thanks in part to his climbing and time trialing abilities.
The French Road Cycling Cup is a road bicycle racing competition under the Fédération Francaise de Cyclisme each year since 1992. It consists of several one-day races in France each year. Each of these races is open for all riders, but until 2015 only French riders and riders who were part of a French team were able to score points for the French Road Cycling Cup. As of 2016, all riders score points. The team competition remains a contest between the French teams only.
The young rider classification is a secondary competition in the Tour de France, that started in 1975. Excluding the years 1989 to 1999, the leader of the young rider classification wears a white jersey. The requirements to be eligible for the young rider classification have changed over the years but have always been such that experienced cyclists were not eligible, sometimes by excluding cyclists over a certain age, cyclists who had entered the Tour de France before, or cyclists who had been professional for more than two years. In the most recent years, only cyclists who will remain below 26 in the year the race is held are eligible.

The 2013 season was the eleventh for the Specialized–lululemon cycling team, which began as the T-Mobile team in 2003. Three riders joined the team in 2013, American cyclists Carmen Small and Tayler Wiles, and the Canadian Gillian Carleton. Charlotte Becker, Emilia Fahlin, Chloe Hosking, Clara Hughes and Amber Neben left the team in the post-Olympic year.

The Belgian Road Cycling Cup is a road bicycle racing competition established in 2016 and consists of a number of standalone one-day races, mostly in Belgium but since 2022 some are held as well in the Netherlands. In each race, the top 15 riders score points and the rider scoring the most points in total is crowned the Belgian Cycling Cup champion. A separate classification was kept for the best youngster and best team, but these have been cancelled since 2017 and 2018 respectively.

She has won seven gold medals at the UCI Track Cycling World Championships and a silver medal at the Olympic Games. She also won the Women's junior road race and Women's junior time trial at the 2015 UCI Road World Championships.
