The 2023 Maine Black Bears football team represents the University of Maine as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference (CAA) in the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Black Bears are led by second-year head coach Jordan Stevens and play home games at Alfond Stadium in Orono, Maine.

The CAA, formerly known as the Colonial Athletic Association from 2007 through 2022, changed its name in July 2023 to accommodate future membership expansion outside of the Thirteen Colonies.

The 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season, part of college football in the United States, is organized by the National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) at the Division I Football Championship Subdivision (FCS) level. The regular season began on August 26 and will end in November. The postseason will begin in November, and, aside from any all-star games that are scheduled, will end on January 6, 2024, with the 2024 NCAA Division I Football Championship Game at Toyota Stadium in Frisco, Texas.

The 2023 Rhode Island Rams football team represents the University of Rhode Island as a member of the Coastal Athletic Association Football Conference (CAA) during the 2023 NCAA Division I FCS football season. The Rams, led by 10th-year head coach Jim Fleming, play their home games at Meade Stadium.

Joseph "Joe" Fagnano is an American football quarterback for the UConn Huskies. He previously played for the Maine Black Bears.
