The Panthers were led by ninth-year head coach Pat Narduzzi and played their home games at Acrisure Stadium in Pittsburgh. Schedule

Pittsburgh and the ACC announced the 2023 football schedule on January 30, 2023. [1] [2] The 2023 season was the conference's first season since 2004 that its scheduling format included just one division. The new format set Pittsburgh with three set conference opponents, while playing the remaining ten teams twice in a four–year cycle. The Panthers' three set conference opponents for the next four years are Boston College, Syracuse, and Virginia Tech. [3] [4]

However, since the 2023 title game, the ACC no longer sends the Atlantic and Coastal champions to meet in Charlotte. The current champions, the Clemson Tigers, defeated the SMU Mustangs after the 2024 regular season concluded.

Pittsburgh Panthers women's volleyball is the NCAA Division I intercollegiate volleyball program of the University of Pittsburgh, often referred to as "Pitt", located in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. The team played its home games at the Petersen Events Center in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. This was Pittsburgh's inaugural season in the Atlantic Coast Conference, having moved from the Big East Conference. Pitt had been in the Big East since 1982. They finished the season 26–10, 11–7 in ACC play to finish in fifth place. They advanced to the semifinals of the ACC tournament where they lost to Virginia. They received an at-large bid to the NCAA tournament where they defeated Colorado in the second round before losing in the third round to Florida.

The Pittsburgh–Syracuse football rivalry is an American college football rivalry between the Pittsburgh Panthers and Syracuse Orange. It began in 1916 and has been played every year since 1955. The Panthers and Orange were both Eastern football independents for most of their history but have shared the same football conference since 1991 when the Big East Football Conference was formed from Eastern football independents. Pitt is the most played opponent for Syracuse and Syracuse is the third most played opponent for Pitt. The 2015 Atlantic Coast Conference football season was the 63rd season of college football play for the Atlantic Coast Conference (ACC). It was played from September 2015 to January 2016. The Atlantic Coast Conference consisted of 14 members in two divisions. The Atlantic Division consisted of Boston College, Clemson, Florida State, Louisville, North Carolina State, Syracuse, and Wake Forest. The Coastal Division consisted of Duke, Georgia Tech, Miami, North Carolina, Pittsburgh, Virginia, and Virginia Tech. The division champions, Clemson and North Carolina, met on December 5 in the 2015 ACC Championship Game, in Charlotte, North Carolina at Bank of America Stadium.

The 2017 NC State Wolfpack football team represented North Carolina State University during the 2017 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Wolfpack played their home games at Carter–Finley Stadium in Raleigh, North Carolina and competed in the Atlantic Division of the Atlantic Coast Conference. They were led by fifth-year head coach Dave Doeren. They finished the season 9–4, 6–2 in ACC play to finish in second place in the Atlantic Division. They received a bid to the Sun Bowl, where they defeated Arizona State.

The 2018 ACC Championship Game was played on December 1, 2018. It was the 14th annual ACC Championship Game, played to determine the 2018 champion of the Atlantic Coast Conference. The game was held at Bank of America Stadium in Charlotte, North Carolina. Clemson emerged victorious and became the 2018 ACC champions, beating Pitt 42–10.

They finished the regular season with a 6-6 record, and were invited to the Wasabi Fenway Bowl, where they defeated SMU, 23-14.
