The 2023 UNLV Rebels football team represented the University of Nevada, Las Vegas as a member of the Mountain West Conference during the 2023 NCAA Division I FBS football season. The Rebels were led by Barry Odom in his first year as UNLV's head coach. The Rebels played their home games at Allegiant Stadium in Paradise, Nevada.

Contents

The Rebels finished the season 9–5 overall and 6–2 in conference play, and qualified for the 2023 Mountain West Conference Football Championship Game, where they lost to Boise State. UNLV was invited to the 2023 Guaranteed Rate Bowl, losing to Kansas. This is the first bowl game for the Rebels since 2013.

The Utes finished the season 10–4, 7–2 in Pac-12 play to finish in a three-way tie for second place. Due to tiebreaking rules, Utah received the bid to the Pac 12 Championship Game. There they defeated No. 4-ranked USC for the second time on the season to win the conference championship. As a result, for the second consecutive year they received a bid to the Rose Bowl, where they lost to Penn State.

The Beavers played their home games at Reser Stadium in Corvallis, Oregon, and competed as members of the Pac–12 Conference. They were led by head coach Jonathan Smith, in his fifth season.
